I know this is way late but I recently discovered your vids while cleaning up the remaining DS2 achievements I was missing. My favorite backstab is the lance animation but on larger enemies (I think it might be the same as the spear class), specifically the Alonne Captains is where I’ve seen it most. You kick them to their knees, punch them in the back, and then stab them. It’s epic 😁
Oh man, watching this play through is giving me ideas. I've been running the Guts greatsword and I'm mostly through the DLC, but this may be worth a switch.
Giggity giggity, wth CPR This shi been on my head for some days now and I’ll just randomly get the urge to say it. My mom thinks I’m crazy cuz of these stuff lmo
Powerstanced Blue Flames with CMW was one of my favorite builds back in peak DS2, especially for PvP. You could catch people lacking with the mixups. Powerstanced Red Rust swords using Pyromancy was another. Man, I always say with as much hate as it gets, DS2 was goated for build diversity AND viability. Main thing that made magic builds annoying in DS2, particularly sorceries, was the limited casts of certain spells. The grind you had to do and the time commitment could be fairly annoying.
Dks2 did a ton right, and powerstance (and weapon stances in general) is right at the top of that list. I had a wonderful pvp build which used a scimitar and rapier. The concept was a chivalric duelist who was a skilled user of weapons in either hand. So I had two pairs of scimitars and rapiers and would hardswap which weapons were in which hand to simulate the duelist juggling their weapons. I could switch very quickly between the scimitar powerstance moveset (which looked amazing with the rapier in the left hand) the rapier powerstance, or either singlehanded moveset. It was very off-meta and required me to heavily outplay the meta builds, but I got tons of nice messages complimenting me on my playstyle and fashion souls. So it was def worth it.
awesome video, I love how you can make the broken straight sword actually good in this game unlike in the other 2. btw I'm gonna be playing through DS2 with my buddy. my first character was pure STR, what build should I run this time?
