I mean... in this case the emote spamming is actually pretty nice since he is doing it consistently throughout the game. I actually prefer it since the makes the game feel more alive. Imo emote spamming is only bad when they are doing it while they are winning to taunt you.
I remember when they first came out i was so hyped, then lorgar dropped and his ability was meh but his Whisper was very cool, i was like 'finally i will play a chaos token deck or demonist deck', then the Ultramarines dropped and completely countered that play style, punishing the opponent if he plays wide. To this day im still baffled as of why EG released a faction for it to be countered and neutered by the next one in the expansion.

If you had used your ablity once and then luminal you wouldn't have had to gamble although I will say that was a more dramatic win more fitting of fulgrim. Also thats easy for me to say since I'm not in the game at that moment
