i definitely think they were trying to be cautious about not wanting another flop like the kylie dolls. and also the fact that mga lost the recent law suit.. i think they were maybe testing the waters. i hope this is the same case like when they first came back with the 20th anniversary dolls in hot topic. where eventually they’ll restock because they literally were super popular. thankfully i was able to get the cady doll but it’s so scary to think how the other launches will go. i don’t think mga handled it well at all. i mean ik they did say the dolls were going to be super limited but i think people would rather have waited until they had more stock for them to actually launch the dolls so everyone who actually wanted them could get them.
I wrote a paragraph asking MGA/bratz to come up with a solution, i encourage everyone that is unsatisfied with the october 3rd drop to copy and paste it to all bratz social media (you can alter it if you want) . If we all unite and massively and repetetively show them we, the fans, want something to happen and that we are the ones truly driving the market and not the scalpers, then maybe they will listen to us, if not, we will know their true values and we can act accordingly after. here is the paragraph i encourage you to copy+paste to all bratz socials: --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bratz, i want your honest anwser about it, no fake-funny social media manager reply please. Do you go in production for the fans or for the scalpers ? please elaborate and reply seriously. /// the community is mad about the mean girls drop, so here is a solution for you, and what you do with it will show your true entity : for the 2 other drops, put an open window of time where anyone that wants to buy can buy, lets say one or two weeks, you can keep the limit of 2 per person if you want, but you as a manifacturer dont have a limit of how much you will produce in the end, then on date X the buying window closes and after that no one can buy, then every fans that wanted one will have one, and good thing for you if more people buy it, because more you produce cheaper will be your raw production cost VS the fixed price you sell it to us. We have to Call out the Scalpers and some how put them to a stop some how and buying from them it just makes them win and we lose. We need to speak up and make the scalping stop.

I bought the Kaylie Jenner dolls a few months ago and their still going on even more clearance for under 10 bucks is insane and their is Kylie fans out their and Bratz fan as well. I Colloct American Girl and g 3 monster high. I actually Gotten the Wednesday and Edin Monster High dolls and their my First special edition Mattel creations monster high dolls and I found them at my small town Walmart I got the last Wednesday doll their and I picked between 2 Edins and I got the best looking one. I then bought Wednesday paint it black fashion pack aswell. I want to G1 Rerelease monster high dolls so bad and my small town hasn't had them at all.
I Am not a Bratz collector I played with Bratz dolls when I was younger Seeing that Mattel creations have been doing Releases with their doll lines and that MGA is now Getting their toes in the water of selling special collector dolls now their very late to the game and this released fail just shows it and very worrying for MGA and the company. The fans are upset about this release and then the Rerelease Dolls like you said their was issues with the dolls and being unable to get them. I'm worried for MGA and their future all together. I haven't seen anything new for always Bratz at all. We need something new from Bratz and MGA

This drop was a joke! Especially outside the US , I live in Sweden and the dollar scene here is pretty much nonexistent and I think I read somewhere that people in Europe could get them from their “local” Amazon website. But that never happened (from what I understand) and buying them second hand from eBay is not the way. Because all the resellers are from the us and the customs och taxes are crazy to import. So this release is not for me. And I think as you said about the “flop” from the Jenner dolls because even here in Sweden there are still on the Amazon page and resellers how bout them on vacation around Europe. But I think as well that the license of mean girl is very expensive do to it still being so very popular still 20 years later. And I think it has to do with the size of the stock. A larger stock number would cost more , from the knowledge a have from the business side of licensing some companies would charge by the stock numbers so a larger stock numbers the higher the price of the license. So by making it a smaller launch they didint have to shell out more money. I hope and think they used this launch as a marketing exercise to see if they there still relevant and if all of us would still buy them. 😮 and I hope they take away that we still would gladly give MGA our money if they give us what we want. And we want as you said the Tokyo och prinsess lines not the slumber. But hey I hope they will då a restock after this launch , as a pre order and that we get them some 6 months later .

I was so ready. I clicked on it and it was instantly sold out! What??? How is that even possible ? I am suppossed to renew my membership at the end of October and i even tried to renew it early and they wouldn't let me. Needless to say i will not be renewing it at this point in time and probably EVER. I am sorry Max i know this was suppossed to be just about Cady but i was played with two days in a row by two different companies and i am so done with it. I am going to fix up the second hand ones i got off ebay (the old Bratz and Mh) and just be happy with those. It's not worth it. I managed to get Cady and I was so happy, and I'm still glad to get her but then seeing so many not being able to get her does not make me feel excited that I have a limited doll. I feel sad that more fans can't get her. Limited stock sucks
The modern bratz team has been so great with stocking the dolls. If you live in the US, you never really had a problem getting any line online or in stores. So I'm really surprised and disappointed that they followed in Mattel's footsteps for this release.

You have every right to be upset. MGA have really stuffed up with the Mean Girls Bratz release. These dolls should have been given world wide release. They would have made the company more money than the Kylie Jenner dolls which are taking up shelf space gathering dust. I won't be parting with my $$$ for these dolls. Guess I will just wait fir the 'Goin Out Bratz' to be released next year.
Yea i think afterr the slumber party release i was pretty much over the new dolls! First i didnt see many people asking for that line and it was never that expencive to buy secondhand, and then the faces!!!! Why is sasha looking in 2 different directions? I feel as well the issues with stock is even worse for international fans here in Australia we didn't get any wave 2 pretty n punk, series 3 or slumber party sasha and meygan and mga just doesn't give us answers! like we want to support bratz the brand but how can we if you don't even let us.

so many doll brands have been doing this. this is why i've skipped all the mattel creations monster high dolls because I'm generally uninterested in their attempt to cash grab and the resellers are CLOWNS!!!! living dead dolls did the same thing recently with their bunny of doom doll. I was able to get one myself because they finally decided to listen and put her online despite the fact that they were all "limited edition convention exclusive!!! drive to ohio and get one!!" and before she went online people DID buy her for 500-600 dollars. and even after purchasing bunny of doom I am still waiting for her to ship out......now that we are seeing bratz do the same thing for debatably mid dolls (sorry thats my hot take), I am just absolutely disappointed because they make very weird looking repros and the older dolls are already so expensive :// bratz will never be the same again like i don't wanna give a kidney for tokyo-a-go-go or live in concert. it's soooo corny what bratz is doing and it makes me so sad :( other than that though I love mean girls and I wish they did the collab justice with this ENTIRE launch.
I tried to get Cady she was sold out in a few seconds thats really messed up. Im not even going to try for the others ill just wait until next year when they arent as much im not paying $500 for a doll. Also they aren't even shipping until December that's wild.

Cady is skippable though, she's not the same as the Plastics. She didn't come in her poster outfit & her extra outfit isn't her halloween costume like the others.

The whole release was a sh*t show. They don't care about their customers. They didn't even take precautions to prevent bots. They knew this would be insanely popular with it being nostalgic for so many Bratz and Mean Girls fans and still decided to make it super limited instead of making it widely available. I had this doll in my cart and was checking out and couldn't get it. If they don't release this doll again on the next release I'm never giving Bratz another penny! I wanted to get all four. Can't imagine what the next release will be like...
