It has midi in/midi out , if you have a Yamaha UX16 interface (midi in/midi out ) with usb, it could bus to your DAW , you need to adjust the Midi local on/off function on the keyboard )
OMG YESSS this is the big brother to the Yamaha keyboard i have, i love these home keyboards so much <3 The sounds on this are great, i love 2 OP sounds like this brass and the bells. Thank you so much for making this, excellent video as always!
Thank you always for watching and comment! The PSS-480 is a 2operator FM sound system, but if you try hard enough you can make it play like the YM2612's 4operator FM sound system.
Thank you always for watching and comment! Yes. It's an Akai sound module that was all the rage with its samplers, so the vintage sound gives it an EDM feel.
Regardless of mostly synth sounds in this module, it has realistic drum sounds. Basically like modernised version of Roland D-110, 'HQ version of MT-32'
Thank you always for watching and comment! That's right. I don't think this sound module will be used much in multi-timbral mode. It also has drum sounds and the like, so it can be played in multi-timbral mode like this.
After I hear further, I found that seems like SC-55 drum sounds are derived from Roland R-8 drum machine followed by its sisters, including sound module version of it, Roland R-8M Also, it would be interesting if you had drum modules like Roland R-8M
Thank you always for watching and comment! Again, this may be the case, since the SC-55 and R-8M were released around the near time. Roland currently sells the TD series, so that may be the modern version of the R-8M.
I heard that many sounds of SC-88 Pro, including this drum sound, is derived from SR-JV80-09 (Session) sound expansion, from a comment to a video showcasing all GM sounds of JV-1010. I heard one of JV-1010 demos and I heard same drum sounds like this
I appreciate all the videos you are making of the EMR1! It has such a nice sound, it sounds almost exactly like the MU units, and better than standard XG. I think it might be my favorite of the Yamaha boxes you have recorded. Thank you again for all your hard work 👏♥
Thank you always for watching and comment! Be sure to check out the PLG100-XG version as well! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kQxlYYQ-_eE.html
Thank you always for watching and comment! The EMR1 plays in a slightly different way than the other XG sound sources, but the PLG100-XG also plays in a completely different way.
The MU5 is an interesting device - the synth engine of the TG100 but with a soundset closer to that of the later XG series. It's a shame it doesn't have reverb or chorus effects but it still sounds good.
Thank you for making this! It's part of the reason I love this channel because I never even heard of this module before, I learned so much from it :3 I think you did a good arrangement of this song and I think this module has a good Yamaha sound to it. Very punchy.❤ Excellent video as always!
Thank you always for watching and nice comment! A variation effect is applied to the guitar sound, which may be why the guitar sounds different from other XG sound modules.
Finally, your YAMAHA EMR1 got its own CANYON.MID and Chopin Fantasie Impromptu No.66.renditions. And as I heard and comparing it with SK1XG, despite using same voice engine and samples (the classic XG), I heard there are some differences if we hear carefully, like slightly different volume on some sounds (like drums which is slightly lower), and some sounds heard slightly different
Pretty incredible! MU2000 is my favorite GM MIDI module and I love the PLG150 DR and VL cards, and I need to get more PLG cards for mine. This video is fantastic!
Thank you for watching and nice comment! I think the MU2000 is the most high-performance sound module among GM sound modules and there are also many unique PLG
@upc831 May I ask how you are setting up each PLG card for these playbacks? Are you using SOL2, or is this actually in game and you ser each instrument on the module itself?
@upc831 Awesome. I am still trying to figure out how to switch between PLG cards using the main interface on the module. I assign the PLG cards to an instrument set like the DR on part 10 etc but when I try to go and dial in the instrument for it and the VL. I can only see the VL. I really need to get the translated MU2000EX manual.
@@Vanessaira-Retro To use the PLG board, set the PLG board to the part you want to assign on the MU2000 control panel, then press the [ENTER] key twice on that screen. A SysEx message will then appear on the MU2000 display.
