I was told I have what is equal to a masters degree after passing the mechanics test and the schooling to get there I could not remember a single question on the test you are supposed to try so you can tell others when they take it the next year or after that. Not that many Pass the first time I could not remember one I came home and stared at a blank what wall for a couple hours not sure if I passed it or not.Just the way they tried to reword questioned from the years of school test questions asked again kind of but different had no real review class just 2 weeks and made flash cards so many formulas and how to determine a resistors value by the multiple little lines of color lines on them! I was happy when I got my grade on ot one day 82% passing I was a mechanic now yeah. Not easy i was already a temporary mechanic working very hard o work with the ones that knew more and learn from them. I wa often thrown into the fire or did it myself on a job that changed the code big with a vent pipe or something that went into parking structure from a hospital what a mess Not ordered for the code required for it I had to work a lot with a structural engineer .Designing parts that could pass and keeping the inspector on my side with trust or it would not be happening. THen one dAY AFTER CLEANING UP AND SOME SMALL REPAIRS GETTING A LOT OF ESCALATORS ALL RUNNING CEAN SMELLING GOOD AND ALL RUNNING FOR A INSPECTION FROM HEADS OF DISNEY AND THEIR CONSULTANT ANOTHER ELEVATOR COMPANY SUPERVISOR THE CONTRACTOR THE MAYOR OFl AND SOME MORE ALL COME IN ONE MORNING tHEY ALL SEEM VERY HAPPY AND i AM OFFERED A JOB IN VEGAS WITH OVER SCALE PAY FROM AMTECH BUT I DO NOT WANT THAT AT ALL I JUST MOVED INTO A HOUSE AND HAD A KID ON THE WAY. jUST MARRIED AND HAD TO MOVE INLAND SOME FROM THE BEACH SURFING EVERY DAY SOME EPIC BIG BARRELING WAVES AAAAAAT TH pOINT ON BIG SOUTH SWELLS F5OM TH4 RIGHT DEGREES OF DIRECTION THAT WERE BIG FAST AND SCARY LOOKING DOUBLE OVERHEAD + THICK BARREL WAVES THAT CRASHED LIKE THUNDER WAY OUT IN FRONT OF THE WAVE WITH A MONSTER MOUNTAIN OF WHITEWASH WHEN I HIT THE WATER. nOT TO CROWDED A VERY GOOD THING. MOST SURFERS WHO SAW IT FEELING A SLIGHT VIBRATION BRAKING STANDING ON THE SAND. big expensive lense cameras on tripods lining u on the sand her tht water stops on the shore wont paddle out at all . These waves can easily snap your surfboard in half instantly and throw you over the falls very violet a strong washing machine against the bottom more than once or twice unable to get any air until you are inside pushing up with your feet to get u for a breath. It ia A HUGE STEEP MOUNTAIN OF WITTER COMING IN FAST YOU MUST PADDLE HARD AND CATCH IT AND POP UP ON YOUR FEET VERY QUICKLY HEADING DOWN TO THE LEFT MAKING SPEED AS FAST AS YOU CAN. no time for as big bottom turn seen on video. No tim4 for that you are seeing so much water like as pool of ir being thrown over your head and the air pressure ,the sound the atmosphere changes drastically. then you can be shot out in front off the barrel with a powerful big spray. hear some howls com trom shore.and make a couple turns up off the lip and then pull out off the back up in the air a lot and hope to land on it and back to paddling again! THEY HAVE A GOOD NAME FOR THE DAYS THAT BREAK THIS GOOD OCAIONALY LIKE 6-8 TIMES A YEAR. IT IS CALLED California Pipeline for a good eason.
Yes this is GREAT and means alot to me ! Lemmy is PUNK I am very grateful for the time a very cool man that worked out front of a nightclub I booked great bands mostly Punk & promoted a Friday night with a friend! When I was taken to see Motorhead play at a place I like alot and have seen some great bands play there ! He had us backstage and after Lemmy said to us all "There "There must me someplace near here that is going on better than this." IT WAS A CLEAN PLACE WITH A FEW TABLES AND HAD CHAIRS AND A HARD PLACE TO BEAT IMO SO understandably only saw shrugged shoulders from others there. But knowing of a place I liked very close and thought Lemmy would like it too I stepped over to him and said. "I have a suggestion Lemmy"What's that he replied. I said "it is a place very nearby a bigbar for its type. The drinks are not bad the music pretty good 'a couple pool tables and the good looking girls do not push hard for money like at some similar places they do. "He had a puzzled expression look on his face to what I had just said so I finished with After dancing topless on the stage that is. Lemmy smiled and said in a firm and loud enough voice "SOUNDS GOOD LETS GO! We and others did go and I walked in following him and bought a round of drinks Bourbon & Coke not Jack when I asked JACK IS WHISKEY NOT BOURBON I LEARNED AND GOT THAT AND SAT AT TABLE WITH HIM BUT BEING ONE OF MY FAVORITE DRINKS I BOUGHT A COUPLE JACK COKE'S AFTER THAT ONE FOR ME OF COURSE . tHE COOL THING I LATER LEARNED EVEN IF NOT BECAUSE OF ME ONE OF THE PLACES HE LIKED TO GO NAMED A JACK & COKE A LEMMY! It was an old style kind of pool. A deep lefthand kidney bowl swimming pool behind a abandon house on top of a hill turned into a kind of secret skateboard pool to ride. I liked it a lot and have a picture I framed that hangs on the wall of my house for some time and still today. Of me skating it taken by my D.A.M.M.drummer one day with my moms good camera . We used to skate board it a lot for hours sometimes. THe picture looked pretty good I was carving around the top of the bowl on the strip of tile just under the flat cement top of the cement surrounding it. The name of the band is AGENT ORANGE aA kind of surf/skate punk band that has been touring parts of the world The person I read not very long ago started it is Steve Soto who I know from booking him to play with his band Joyride on our Fri at a nice big nightclub that was great and kind of famous around here in Orange County. It was in Newport Beach California on Via Lido Isle where some of the City Council members live there as well had it shut down for good? Not a nightclub anymore I wish I was given or took or even maybe could have bought the hanging lit up sign that hung from the roof it was still hanging for 15 years maybe I should have taken it?lol It was a lot of fun from the first night we did between the big week long surf competitions of the OP PRO & US OPEN held at the Hunting Beach Pier . The beach city next to the North I lived at the border right between both . I have some friends in a band that were featured on the Quicksilver Video thAT YEAR AND THEY ARE GREAT THEY ARE BOX CAR WINO ON THE VIDEO NAMED THE SAME AS ONE OF THE SONGS THEY HAVE ON IT . tHE NAME IS CHEAP & DEEP! WAS ABLE TO GET THEM TO PLAY AND HAD A FRIEND AND NEIGHBOR TOO THAT KNOWS THEM AS WELL AS A QUICKSILVER REP AS WELL SO I ASKED HIM IF I COULD CALL IT WITH THEM PLAYING A QUICKSILVER PARTY THEY WERE ALWAYS GREAT HE ASKED AND GAVE ME PERMISSION BUT NO FUNDS OR RESPONSABILITY FROM QUICKSILVER BUT WITH BOX CAR WINO THE BAND PLAYING I COULD PUT IT ON OUR FLIERS PROMOTING IT. iT WENT SO WELL WE WERE CALLED UPSTAIRS THAAT FIRST NIGHT BY THE GOOD BARTENDER IN CHARGE OF THE MANY BARTENDERS THAT WORK AT THE CLUB. i ASKED HIM IS SOMETHING WRONG DID WE GO OVER OUR BARTAB WE HAD IF SO i COULD GET MONEY OUT OF THE BANK AND PAY. hE SAID NO IT'S NOT ABOUT THAT HE WAS JUST TALKING TO WHAT LOOKED LIKE ABOUT 12 BARTENDERS UP THERE AT ThAT BAR, tHEY ALL SAID THIS WAS THE BEST fRIDAY NIGHT THEY COUD REMEMBER HAVING YET! BETWEEN US AND HIM ONLY OUR TAB WAS NOW UNLIMITED! JUST KEEP THIS UP GOOD JOB CONGRtats everybody was stoked our first night doing this went off so welltey made a lot of money and tips and there were so maaaaaaaaany Nectar Beach hotties here too! One of my rules we agreeed on to have to make it successful and not fall apart is focus on promoting to beach locals and hot chicks because it is known if the night gets a lot of the inland crowd kind of people it may not go so well our beach local crowd that go there could just disapear. IT HAS HAPPENED AND IS KNOWN TO HAVE THAT PROBLEM MORE THAN ONCE. one night at an after party at a prosowboarders house one night with Daano and me Ech and Birch Productions we called our production company? and another person I admire for the way he made and promoted his company! He is Dan Flecky the msnehostarted and owns Black Flys sunglasses he had some full page ads ina well read paper magazine . HE WAS A SILKSCREENER BEFORE BUT HIS ADS WERE i CONSIDER A REALLY GREAT PLAN. his full page ads said THE BLACK FLY'S ARE COMING THAN AND GETTING OR HIRED A BUNCH OF OT CHICKS LIKE STRIPPERS OR? THEY ARE THE FLY GIRLS OF COURSE! ANY WAY THAT NIGHT IN THE PRO BOARDERS ROOM a guy that was with HED PE and also did some promoting. SAID TO ME HEY WE SHOULD JOIN TOGETHER DOING THIS PROOTING STUFF 50 50. i SAID i AM NOT SURE ABOUT THAT YOU DO A GOOD ROUTE I SUPPOSE OF PLACES THAT LET YOU LEAVE FLIERS BUT WE TRY TO KEEP IT LOCAL TO TH4 BWACH AND NEARBY POPULAR CLUB NIGHTS AND yOU ARE WITH HED WHO JUST PLAYED 2 WEEKS A G, YOU CALLED AND SAID YOU WONT BE PLAYING AT 6PM THAT FRIDAY YOU GUYS WERE GOING TO THE CRUSTY DEMONS RELEASE PARTY AT LAVA ROOM THAT NIGHT. IT IS BETTER IF I DID NOT HAVE TO PAY HED TO PLAY YOU HAD NOT PROMOTED & told the people that would come and see you play about the crusty demon party better if i didn't have to pay without many people there to see HED. I told you no way yiu made a deal now you have to play! You do not have to stay just play your set and get paid what we decided for you to get paid and then off to Lava s crusty party you caan go! I am glad you guys showed and played but after you did the next band or the one after that I see some of you guys sitting at a table next to the pit. I asked what are you guys doing here I thought you would be off to the Crusty release at Lava for the Crusty movie your music is in, They had a big permagrin on their face and said no this is our best show yet! He looked down and agreed and Dan Flecky with BLACK flies was nodding yes with a big smile from the explaining keeping the local beach and surfer crowd happy and now the This was our best show yet I felt proud and happy. I was jumped into this booking and promoting with no experience at all. I was out of work with w cut tendon on my middle toe from the elevator company while I WAS JUST A TRUCK DRIVER FOR THEM AT THAT TIME . am A VERY HOT GIRL I WAS LIVING WITH THEN ONE DAY AFTER WORK. i WAS STRESSED AND WORKING MY BUT OFF TRYING TO BECOME A UNION APPRENTICE ELEVATOR ESCALATOR MECHANIC 50% TER FOR 6 MONTHS AND IF NOT LAID OFF FIRED IT i AM IN AND GET 70 % OF MECHANICS SCALE PAY UNTIL i FINISH SCHOOL AND IF i CAN PASS THE TEST . tHAT IS VERY VERY HARD WITH MULTIPLE TRADE KNOWLEDGE ironWORK AND REading different kinds f prints. ELECTRICAL NOT JUST THE NORMAL STUFF THAT IS hIGH VOLTAGE LOW VOLTAGE RELAY LOGIC AND THE OLDER STUFF AND SOLID STATE AND SO MANY THINGS INVOLVED FOR SAFETY AND OPERATION OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION STUFF. l
