I honestly think Billie Joe is so musically and lyrically, confident that I think he was more focused on if the rest of the band was playing it right. lol what my observation he also loves to have fun everyone was great I think he was making sure it was as they practiced
I love the new songs... However... Always talking about the voice. Billie's voice is probably improving too. But I'll never understand why write songs higher than one's abilities. Billie has a baritone voice that shines best with not too high notes... One can practice to reach higher than before, but one of the advantages of arranging your own songs is being able to choose the right key 😂😂 I'll never understand.
More on Billie's voice...How many bands who have been at it for 30 years write new material that is more vocally challenging than before? Starting with Still Breathing on #RevRad. When Billie sang that on Colbert he couldn't hit the high note. Then all the high notes and falsetto sections on FOAMF. And now an album with lots of vocal challenges. Billie's gonna have a challenging night now and then. But as a singer myself I am in awe of his vocal quality, breath control and range. If anything he's even improving slightly with age. Simply amazing. Rock on GD!
