There where quite a few games with Hexagon tiles, I think they will have mostly been from Kallista. I'm not sure on US suppliers but they are quite bulky to store and ship.
An outstanding video of what looks to be a very good show. Simply outstanding games which are a credit to people’s skill and time investment. I also really appreciate all your work putting this video together. Great detail shown across the entire series of games. Particularly appreciate you flagging the scale of the games.
Thankyou for the kind words, letting those who can't make the shows is what got me started filming these reports and keeps me going with them too! The quality of games and the time people take to put them on really is amazing. Thanks for spotting the scale too, I had a few comments asking for scales on videos so I thought I would experiment adding it in!
Enjoyed the Vid, thank you. Can't believe you missed the 'Best in Show" game which was the Indian Mutiny game -Battle for Unao. I spent quite a bit of cash at the Empress stand because of it!!
It was certainly very impressive a was a bit gutted i didn't get any footage of it, hopefully it will make another showing. Its always a challenge filming, especially at a busy show and when bumping into so many people for a chat, I try and do my best getting some good quality footage while also not obstructing the players and visitors. Its tricky balance between covering everything and trying to keep the quality up to more that just a quick flyby, wasn't quite as happy with the balance this time around but hopefully it will improve for the next show.
It was, great to see Damon in person again! It was a cracking table and great to see some 20mm love! I was reliably informed it was the table used for the photoshoots for Kampfgruppe: Normandy, which makes it even more impressive.
the 1/32 scale WWII table is amazing; I just bulk at the cost a single tank at 80$ and each of the fig boxes (5figs) for 40$ and playing at Company scale OMG.
I had hoped to go but I’ve been I’ll for the past cpl of weeks so didn’t make it but hopefully can get to WMMS on the 17th and on of the other shows at Newark later in the year.
Another outstanding video! You have really showcased the games so well with expansive overviews coupled with excellent closeups which show the detail of the games. Just as importantly you haven’t rushed the video. Thank you for producing it. I have really been hoping for another one of your show videos.
I loved that WWII game, have a google for ToonKrieg, there's loads of digital files available for a small cost on Wargaming 3D www.wargaming3d.com/product-tag/toonkrieg/
I loved the look of the Cloudships of Mars game, they have done some amazing work on it. Ecourcheurs certainly has my interest as a ruleset, I also likes the look of Zero Hour.
Great show report! Some gloriously weird s**t games on display. Had I made it along I'd have probably been drawn to the Kiss me Hardy 2 and 0200 Dad's Army games. Thanks for posting.
I did make it through the early scrum eventually, I think it was the exact time you must have been away from the table :( The boards looked excellent though!
It really is a cracking event, Partizan is amazing, but I love Hammerhead for its sheer variety of just about anything and everything, plus you can participate in anything you want!
Looks like you had a great day out James. Great spread of games, some brilliant modelling and collections of miniatures. Which game was your favourite?
Glad you enjoyed it! It was a fantastic Demo game, the attention to detail with all the building interiors was brilliant and everyone seemed to be enjoying it! Sadly I did manage to mess up some of the extra footage I had of it, rather that the amazing interiors it was a very shaky camera of before and after what i intended to film :(
@@ShakosAndSprues I’m pleased that you liked it. I think I had more comments and questions about the terrain than the game itself! Hopefully it will make an appearance again later this year. If not, certainly in 2025.
I thought there were some fantastic tables and games this year, the standard has really risen over the year! Nice coverage and thank you for including our What a Sherlock game :)
Thanks for sharing. There were some lovely-looking games this year. I only had an hour to run around unfortunately, so didn’t get to play. Think I’m rather taken by those ToonKrieg models though. Time to hide the wallet… Cheers!
Cheers @DuncanFx it was a cracking show, I really love both the variety of games on display and the fact they are all participation! The ToonKrieg game was fantastic, I'm also very very tempted!
