I’ve always liked your honesty and enthusiasm, Krysta. I personally had to part ways with BLE Corporate when they monetized everything a few years ago. I have never bought into IFS/Parts Work, as it doesn’t match up with biblical principles. I even went so far as to join a Christian IFS group to ascertain what they believe and whether it lines up with the Bible, and I was alarmed by what I was learning. “A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways”, and yet IFS teaches that a fractured psyche is normal and healthy. I HAVE stayed close to the Facebook community of independent BLE groups that mirrors the original BLE Facebook group that they froze when BLE monetized everything. I agree 100% that the community is a very loving, supportive community. My friend and I started a group with the sole intention of helping people FOR FREE. I’m also in several Christian BLE groups, as well as general BLE groups where we support each other. I honestly couldn’t have stomached the psycho-babble that I observed in some of the mastermind/accountability groups that posted on RU-vid. Anyway, thank you for your candor. I would invite you to join any of the number of independent BLE groups that are currently active on Facebook. ❤🌟 Happy Healthy Bright & Free

I’m new in BLE but I only read the book and listen to the weekly vlog, so I appreciate hearing your experience in the membership. I hear you talking about having fruit or grain at dinner if at someone’s house, and I do this too, because in reading the book it talks about being able to switch up things if needed. For instance, saving a fruit for dinner if you will be out and have limited options. I also read about adding in grains to other meals after you reach maintenance. I’m still far from that currently, but hearing you here, I’m wondering if adding them in is discouraged in the membership. I have definitely felt free from the pull food had on me since starting this and have had success.

It sounds like you are spending a lot of time playing around with food, which is one of the struggles of food addiction.Doesn't sound like food peace to me but I could be wrong. Wishing you all the best though in your journey.

Really good video! I like how you emphasized that food addiction is a medical problem, not a moral failing. Also, describing the first days like rehab really helps. It sounds like you developed many wonderful, healthy habits! Keep shining bright!

I'm not in BLE anymore after 3 years of it and 4 years of recovering from BLE mentality. I'm curious how you could possibly get 2500 calories? I'm not being snarky... I really want to know. Please.
@Cassieroll
@Cassieroll 27 дней назад
We once played around with different foods and we got it to about 2200 calories and that was the regular food plan with no maintenance adds. You could easily eat almost 600 calories for breakfast depending on your choices.

Amen. I pray that today all our actions & thoughts bring good fruit. I pray Lord we find our true authentic identity. Thank you for this video. As a Christian woman would you recommend me going in the bright line eating program as I believe IFS is a good structure or should we as Christians just study the Bible? Thank you Don Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 🙏

As someone who has been in ble for 7 years now, I appreciate hearing the positive points and not attacking the program. I personally also cannot take part in all they have to offer. But I'm ok wifh that. As they also say in 12 step meetings "take what you want and leave the rest". I haven't been on accountability calls since 2020. I'm very active in our gideon games team (go Maintenance Mavens 2.0!!), listen to the vlogs, and know it's there if i need additional support. Something that may help for you in the future is moderation ❤. You can still be a part of ble and not do everything they have to offer!! I wish you well!!

Hey Krysta, I have only now listened to this. I am blessed and encouraged. I avoided watching because I was afraid it would be negative. I watched one that deemed ble as a cult. However, I decided too watch as I have always been inspired by your shares. I have been struggling with not placing God first in my life. I so want to be …1Thessalonians 1:9 & 10. You are courageous to decide that God and family needs to be first. If I continue to make Jesus 2nd and some days last-I need to do the same and it terrifies me! It shouldn’t….i say God is enough, He will provide my every need. Well, if I truly believe this then I ought to be able to let go of whatever I have made an idol. Again, thank you for sharing!!!💕

I hope one day you can break free from the BLE propaganda. I was brainwashed for 3 years after quitting in 2020. BLE made my relationship with food worse than it had ever been. Before leaving, my hair was falling out, my metabolism slowed, and cold all the time, BLE made me sick. It has taken me 4 years to heal. I couldn't eat a salad for 3 years! Thank goodness I love vegetables again. Also, I researched many of the studies she referred to in her weekly vlogs, and she slants the results to fit her narrative. I hope you will keep searching and growing!

I LOVE your message! it resonates with my own BLE experience. I have progressively let go of the parts of the program that no longer work or are relevant. I love your trajectory, and your recovery. it is a validation that I am not "guilty" of not being a BLE "groupie." I love the program for what it gave me (release of nearly 50lb of excess weight, a structure to my "food day" which gives me freedom to live a life between meals, a safe place and enough time to slowly shed feelings of inferiority and shame and adjust my mind to having a normal sized body), and I still practice the aspects of the program which keep me physically healthy and at a good weight and mindset. lots of luck on your journey. you seem very real and this video is so likeable!

i got sick of dieting and then gaining it back, over and over. 4 months ago i started to honestly believe that i just cannot flirt with sugar and flour, so i won't be eating it again. i struggled for a month or two, off and on, and now i have a rhythm down. lost about 23 pounds without trying. basically, i cut out all candies and sweets, and i don't eat until 2pm each day (per neuroscientist Andrew Huberman), and i stop eating at 8pm. outside of that,i eat as much as i want. lots of meat, veggies, and fruit. i don't do things like rice or potatoes. whenever i am slightly tempted, i can easily remember the feeling of defeat when i was slave to sweets and flour. this makes me stay on track. of all people that helped me, i watched an interview with burt reynolds, where he said about his pill addiction after back surgery, "i have the strength not to start (taking pills) but i don't have the strength to stop, so i just don't start."i had to get to a place where i honestly believe i cannot flirt with sweets at all. i believe this now, and i didn't believe this before. i thought it was crazy that i could never eat cheesecake, every again, or a snickers bar, it seems crazy. but, i know i lack the power to flirt with it now, so i won't touch it again, even when i get thin. i am 48, and i have struggled with this since 30 years old. i feel like i don't want to be stuck in this and defeated for 20 years. i want to turn 50 at a healthy weight. i will say, people really don't understand struggling with this food addiction at all. they say things like, "can''t you just have one small piece of cake?" they are well meaning, but clueless. two things i do that help when tempted, first off, the brushing of the teeth absolutely keeps you out of the food mood a little when you are done eating, but also, and this might sound crazy, if you can't brush at that moment, suck on a halls mentholyptis. i get the sugar free, non fruit flavor. i know, i know, probably has some type of fake sugar, but i find it totally neutralizes the desire for food. think about it, when you are sucking on a halls, you can't imagine the taste of good food, you are kind of lost in the menthol taste for a bit, and your mouth just feels clean. try it, it works. best to you all.
