Seems that the best left us before their time, and BEFORE the mid/late 60's scene..J. Dean, 'The Big Bopper, Ritchie Valens, Eddie Cochran, Bobbie Darin, and a few others..incredible..Robert at 68.
Hahaha - children in the comments *freaked out* by the idea that two different genders being attracted to one another isn't something they invented when their hormones switched on! PMSL. Disgusted by the elderly! Hahaha! Like their existential horror of ageing proves how vacuous teenagers are, with their obsession with beauty. LOL This adverts separates whet from chaff in a hilarious manner.
Happy 91st birthday James Dean. I know it was almost all faked, but that last scene with a digital lift from Rebel Without a Cause always gets me. Very well done. Then the end title card. *sigh*
First time I saw this footage, an indelible mark was imprinted on my heart. Followed by a fixation and fascination with Allan Gray. 'Who are these guys?' I would muse. These guys who figured out the James Dean trajectory with aplomb. Calculated. Stoic. Black. White. Continual. Consistent. Rewarding. And I watch it again today with nostalgia and resolve; success is partnered, and you are blessed by association. Well done Allan Gray. You have my investment. Coming to a fund near you soon!😎
They are an investment company, they focus on long term investing. If you read up on their founder it's pretty incredible, I hear it's a really lovely company to work for too e.g. they pay for your kids to go to private school if you like and much more

I looked up this commercial because I just learned James Dean has been "cast" in a new movie that will use a combination of lookalikes and archival footage the same way this did. It brings up a lot of ethical questions and it's just kind of uncanny and weird. People seemed to like this commercial, but this was about Dean himself and the movie will be a CGI version of him playing a fictional character. I wonder if it'll be received as warmly?
