Hay error al nombrar un Kung Fu VS boxeo o Muay Tai....en el momento que un maestro acepta ponerse guantes y entrar a un ring...eso es entrar en el juego de otros...mal por el ego de ese maestro y seguro va a hacer papelón. Si un Kung Fu , usa garra. No hace nada de lo que entrena con un guante que le quita todo su capacidad y lo hace un novato con guantes...en definitiva. Tonto
I like the video but, one small problem. At video 7:39. You stated that he stood 5 ft. 8 in tall. That was wrong. He was standing 6 in. Now, it may seem to someone who is about to fight him.
The guy was super human. Died the year I was born - I've studied him, read everything there is to read about him and 50 years later, I continue to be blown away by how far ahead of his time - how far ahead of Today's time he was. In all actuality there has been no other human being that could emulate what he embodied. Much more than a martial artist - he was truly the consummate person.
Kung-Fu is mostly buffoonery made popular in movies. Most of the movements are pure nonsense for show. In particular with older dudes that have no chance with younger opponents. The last fight with that Korean Frankenstein is more like a comedy than any skill at all by either fighter.
Wing Chun has a certain potential, but the non-practice-oriented, very conservative, one-sided and obsolete way of training makes this potential unrealized.
These are amateur-tier events because they are public spectacles. Spectacles: glasses...MMA is no different. Sure a guy trains and hones their skill...the origin of the Art is lineage and tradition, actual intelligent, civilized culture. Ancestors-most everybodys...are the reason there IS intelligent, civilized culture. MMA IS basically a reflection of a " free-for-all " society. WCW, Super Smash aBros. Melee... Its in a cage...Martial Artist says foremost-free your mind. The evolution is to understand the potency in the Chi itself...the Source of the flow of energy that gives rise to the conscious evolution of form. The guys in the cages have the form but its like the science which goes around lineage and tradition. Sure a person can be free, i guess...but when it ends up in a cage...i question the real benefit to society...what is the honour of it? Are they smarter than their Ancestors by this evolution?

Shaolin martial Art is based on primary self defense. Competitive Karate is based on win to win martial arts structure. Mentally Karate is more know to Shaolin then Karate mentally know Shaolin in defense and offense. The monk knew he would win.
Bologna. It's never a fighting style. We never trained to fight always conditioned and to get the hell away . There are exceptions to any art cung le and sanda are closest to Kung fu fighting today. Bjj must Thai boxing etc are the evolution of these arts . New arts like shooto- kumdo and more but kungfu- is strictly health and spiritual beliefs. I am a practitioner for fifty years and I have used my skills to get home.
