What if doesn’t show start work but instead shows start from scratch?

Thank you. I have specific questions about creating a midterm exam. If the student can select Topic A or Topic B, do I include both or make 2 separate exams? (A colleague said if I type in both topics, max points for each is 50. But students choose only one topic, each worth 100 points.) Description: reviews number of points midterm is worth in their final grade. Instructions: is this where I type in "You have x minutes to plan and write..."? On Test Canvas, I add the actual topic or topics? Is there another , more basic training I should follow?

The reason you can't delete the Total column is it's set to be the "External Grade"(indicated by the green check). Just set the Weighted column you are keeping as the "External Grade" and you will then have the "Delete" option available in the "Total" column menu.
