what group do you drive with? is this just a group of friends or a club? i wouldnt mind joining a simlar club to join as im local to all of the south coast roads and know those roads like the back of my hand
i swear Macquarie pass and royal national park were engineered for porches and bmw's. absolutely unreal roads for cars with short wheel bases with modest power
Yes I sure do, 11 years ago we bought it I think now. I'm sure its one of the best condition examples in the country as i've spent a lot of time and money restoring it within original parts
Carbon build up on this engine is not related to how hard you drive it. You could be on the gas all the time and it will still need frequent carbon cleans. It's because of the direct injection design. Those who idle a lot may have the carbon build-up quicker, but the 'Italian tune-up' is not applicable to Audi FSI engines
Regarding installing Bluetooth for hands free calling and music streaming for the Porsche CDR-30 radio. these 2 seem to be the best on the market currently: www.discountcarstereo.com/a2diy-cdr30.html www.discountcarstereo.com/cdr30-hf.html A2DIY-CDR30 employs a Bluetooth remote control to change tracks, answer/reject phone calls etc. Microphone installs to visor, smart usb charger (provides charging current based on device) CDR30-HF employs a push-to-talk button to change tracks, answer/reject phone calls etc. Microphone is built-into push to talk button -- installs on dashboard or attaches to dashboard. 1.5A Max current charging voltage. (may not be enough for charge newer power hungry devices). These are the major differences. They both connect via aux-in on the rear pin-out and not the FM in so have better sound quality, and have a little microphone to install under the instrument cluster for the hands free calling. Thank you Easton, as a friend you know I've been looking forward to own one of these for a long long time. Set goals, Work hard and dreams can come true
Quick buyers guide to buying Audi RS4 and in fact any Audi - DON'T buy it, it will be constantly broken and you'll spend all your time and money for repair shops.
A bit of a blanket statement there. Infact the surveys of most unreliable cars every year tells the same story. It shows the Japanese and Asian cars are most reliable, followed 2nd by German cars, which are the big 3 Audi, Mercedes and BMW.
Thanks. Your car in gen 1 form was always my dream since 2006 when it was released. However now I want a GT3 that I can add tear seats and share the GT3 experience with another adult and 2 little ones. So a RS with its roll cage was the right direction for me.
Great review Mark! I always appreciate and enjoy watching honest reviews from owners. I love the explanation about the PASM, front lifter and pros and cons! well done!
Thank you yes honest reviews by those that own the actual cars instead of journalists are the best. Let me know if there's anything you want to learn more about the car.
Your correct, the maximum engine speed aka Red-line is 8,500 rpm according to the official brochure I have here. The maximum engine 435hp (320 kW) is developed at 7,600 rpm. Sorry for that slipup, thanks for picking it up :)
Thanks Ali, It is a factual based video. That's what I'm going for. There's already tons of GT3 non-owners on RU-vid just going on about how good a car it is. But hardly any 'ownership' videos by true owners like me.
It was never a clash….. THIS IS GENOCIDE WHILST THE WEST REMAIN QUIET Stop the genocide ……Israel is a terrorist state KILLING OPPRESSING THE PALESTINIANS Palestinians have the right to defend themselves against the illegal military occupation ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pZYHToS6qKA.html this lady speaks for us all It’s ok for Ukrainians to defend themselves but why not the people of Palestine? Israel arrests children in middle of the night raids, steals land and demolishes Palestinian homes and the world remains quiet Remembering Israel's killing of four children on the beach in Gaza On 16 July 2014, Israeli missile killed four children of the same family on a beach in Gaza What: Israeli missile kills four children of the same family on a beach in Gaza When: 16 July, 2014 Where: The Gaza Strip, occupied Palestine What happened? Israel's military offensive on the Gaza Strip in 2014 - "Operation Strong Cliff" from 8 July until 26 August - was one its deadliest ever against the Palestinians besieged in the coastal strip of land. Aside from the destruction of the civilian infrastructure and its disproportionate use of air strikes, among the war crimes that Israel committed during this offensive was its often deliberate targeting of civilian areas. This was arguably the most shocking crime of all. On the afternoon of 16 July, four children belonging to Bakr family ventured onto the beachfront at Gaza City's small harbour, playing near the boats that their fathers used as fishermen to earn a living. During the offensive, Israel banned all Palestinian fishermen from going out in their boats and essentially closed the port. One of the boys was killed immediately. The other three children started running from the beach when a second shell killed them too. At the end of September 2020, 157 Palestinian minors were held in Israeli prisons as security detainees and prisoners, at least two of whom were held in administrative detention. Another 2 Palestinian minors were held in Israel Prison Service facilities for being in Israel illegally. Pray for Palestine Pray for the Uyghurs Pray for Kashmir #ukraine
Nice video although just wondering yours is a 997 MK I and to me they have a 3.6 liters 345 bhp while you described on the screen with 380 bhp. I own a 997 Carrera S that just like you I love and enjoy, but it is a 911 S MK II year 2011 and this one has 3.8 liters Direct Fuel Injection with 385 bhp so I am getting confused on what you have…has it been modified ? Anyway keep on enjoying it, this a great car to drive…stay safe ! Al 😉😃
Hi maybe you should look it up a bit more…here is a video on youtube about the Carrera S MK II maybe you’ll spot the differences and this one really has 385 bhp I have the same one and I almost bought the same as yours except the IMS wasn’t done so I didn’t buy it make sure yours was done maybe you should ask the dealer where you bought it ! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BP87I9C78k0.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-erYAkFUV1W0.html
@@skytrotter6144 I got the numbers straight out of the manual for my 997.1 aka mk1 aka gen 1. The manual covers both the Carrera and Carrera S , all variants.
@@mabedfo Well then as I don’t know what I am talking about after few years having it and servicing it myself like my other cars how about you lecture me on what are the differences between the carrera S 997 MK I and the 997 MK II that would be nice thank you ! 😊
Nice review! But watch out, your oil is overfilled though (shows on your cluster screen at 7:44). It should be filled to between the 2 arrows (keeping the small upmost rectange empty)
Nice video! I picked up a 2006 Carrera S in July. Congrats on the GT3!! Probably the ultimate weekend toy. Can we expect to see a similar review of it?
Thanks mate. Great car you have there. I plan to do a 997 Carrera S vs GT3 comparison video soon, as I have not seen one anywhere on RU-vid comparing these 2 cars. Hope you enjoy it when its complete.
Don't worry about the kids later. -- They do their own business. You will have plenty room in your car. 😋👍🏼 Thanks for the review. I will go and buy mine on next weekend. You mentioned, it isn't a real sportscar. A GT3 would be funny here in Germany on the Autobahn, but what do you do with the power in Australia? Can you use the extra power over the cab?
Nice review! I have an 07S cab and I love it. You’re right- my son has now grown too big for the rear seat, but it’s still nice having the extra space back there. Enjoy your GT3!
@@mabedfo It’s not so much as how old till they can’t fit anymore, but how tall really…once my son got to around five foot six or five seven, it’s just uncomfortable cause there’s not enough leg room. I’d say around 11 or 12 and that’s it. If you’re under 5’7”, you can squeeze back there no matter what age.
Nice, honest review Mark! I like the last part of the video where you list the pros and cons of owning this car. Especially your tip about the pipe hack. Especial shout out to little Zara 🤩
it's so amazing great review 07 b7 rs4 in my mind is the best rs car had to buy one and couldn't be happier it makes me so happy now sad cause in storage but may will be so happpppppy !
