Sonya collaborates with the German Development Agency GIZ on the Sustainable Pakistan Project to enhance sustainability in the textile industry in Pakistan.

As Head Designer and Project Manager, she has worked with brands like Prada, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Bally, Paul Smith, UGG Australia, Uniqlo, and John Lewis. Her responsibilities have included designing products, building collections, product development, sourcing materials and production.

Sonya guides factories to use less harmful dyes and teaches how to cut waste and recycle more effectively. She has deep experience in sustainable and circular design.

She guides brands on the importance of sustainability and recognised certifications, and her work involves sourcing, experimenting with, and designing products using eco-friendly solutions. Sonya also trains on circular economy, sustainable product design, new technologies like the “digital passport”, and material innovations.
