Come with me in search of a healthier relationship with fashion. I encourage wardrobe play, shopping with small independent labels and of course second hand too! I'm a reworked fashion designer, building a sustainable fashion business and I love to talk about it here! Here's to a brighter future for fashion - SAY NO TO FAST FASHION. Seriously - shout it!!
You are so refreshing, Melissa, thank you for sharing, love what you’re doing here. Greetings from sunny Australia! (And I love your high functioning fashion!) 🧚🏻♀️❤️🐝🇦🇺
I recently realized that my bad habit of "saving for best" and not wesring certain pieces, that I havent been showing up for my own life. It has been a huge revelation. I think all these topics are important snd support how ee can be our best self in our every day lives. Love your content. ❤
I really enjoy your video! Here we have a footwear brand to collaborate with you,I think you align perfectly with our brand, but I can't find your contact information on other platform.Hope to get in touch soon!♡
Hi, I have watched your channel and videos (Melissa Munro). Got monetization on your RU-vid channel but I found your source of income very low. Your video is excellent but video optimization is very poor and no SEO score. And there are many problems. Your RU-vid channel immediately needs to be SEO-friendly. I can solve all these problems. I am a Digital Marketer and SEO Specialist. You can discuss it with me if you want. Thank you🤐☺😙
Love the white shirt you're wearing. That 12 piece capsule would only need a couple of extra t-shirts to be good for a much longer holiday. Thanks for the inspiration.😊
Loved the outfit with the men's jumper tied around the waist and the Grey New Balance. Beautiful bag too! Packing for a trip is to me like turning a novel into a short story. Or, a short story into a quote. And really tricky to still feel like ourselves away from home. I've left clothes in hotels before because I grew a sort of hate relationship with something and can't bare to put it back in my suitcase.
@@JJJettplane oooh interesting! Location change has a huge effect on things I think.. I like the limitations of packing, but so aware that getting it wrong can be the worst!
@@elainecondrin1927 I would say yes if they were standard ones, but they’re coated and really sturdy, have large rounded edges and being that I don’t hang or really wear any stretchy tops, cotton shirts won’t lose their shape on them. They’re more about space saving in the smaller part of the wardrobe too👌🏻
This title is the all mighty struggle of a woman with her wardrobe. Turning 49 at the end of this year i've wised up a lot but clothes and shoes makes me feel like a naughty toddler inside a toy store. The struggle is struggling 🤣
This was so inspiring, I love that you organise your closet mindfully, and store some clothes away, not through them away. That is something I have been thinking about lately too. About 6 years ago I decluttered my wardrobe to a minimum (I only had two pairs of jeans!) and it was nice to have less. At that time I actually didn’t like clothes. But since then, I have accumulated a lot of clothes that I found second hand, which are special, and I enjoy them. I have so many vintage Levi’s jeans I thrifted. I have been thinking of decluttering half of them. I am not sure. I would love to see your jeans collection, what type of jeans you have and how you wear them.
@@mybagoftheday1722 ah! Thank you so much for this - similar story here - I went super minimal when we moved onto our boat but then slowly but surely accumulated again, and due to lifestyle changes I am constantly rethinking all of my wardrobe.. jeans are just a no brainer, a good thing to collect I think.. good ones last! I’ll definitely do a jeans video I’ll add it to my list, thanks for the idea!
From your inspiration, I was thrifting this weekend for oversized blazers and men's shirts. One local shop had all the blazers on a bottom rung with smaller sizes on top. It was frustrating going through the lower rack bent over in order to see. I definitely think it's a thing. Love your videos and style.
Enjoyed this video and found it inspiring! Two of my favorite things, clothes and closet organizing. The ides at the end is cute. I’ll try that. Thanks 💕
@@jeannesnodgrass8073 glad you enjoyed! I’m quite a lover of organizing too! Makes all the difference - ah! you stayed to the end to catch that, so simple but so good!🙌🏻💞
I've just been recommended your channel and watching all your recent vids! they're inspiring - we wear similar colour schemes and the way you mix masculine and feminine elements is fantastic!
Oh this was so helpful! I have a super casual lifestyle living in the countryside but love dressy looks. I need to find my version of a bucket hat with tie! Glad I was recommended this video.
@@sussie9895 I’m so glad we speak the same style language - it’s a real thing trying to get our ‘fashion fix’ when it seems to not match our lifestyle - but there is always a happy medium I think! Let me know what you find! So glad to have you here 🫶🏻
Farmer here! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on fashion while not being in a situation or environment where fashion normally has a place. I love fashion and have been working intentionally for about 4-5 years on my personal style. I get a kick when I find new combinations of my work clothes even though no one will see me usually! My work clothes and non-work clothes both have been parred down and added to with the same color palette and principals. It means nothing and everything at the same time haha I’m happy to hear you promote wearing what we love and doing so unapologetically.
Ah I loved reading this! Clothing does so much for us - or alternatively it can do the opposite and bring us down.. I’ve learned that paying attention to feeling good for the day - by whatever means YOU need - is so important! I think it’s just magic that you’re applying styling principles to a farming lifestyle, why should any industry/job be exempt right?! - and it should mean everything as I bet you’re having better days when you’ve got a good outfit on even when no one’s there to witness it🙌🏻😎🫶🏻
Second! This was interesting. We've all struggled with needing to dress down at times like when we're committed to a time consuming chore, gardening, or camping, etc...but still wanting to feel and look ourselves. I agree that accessories really help and also not wearing only basics. That's just not creative enough for me. Funny, I've even examined my style during a trip to the ER a few years back. Here I was in great pain and needing to vomit, but I was also thinking I needed new more stylish loungewear!
@@JJJettplane It’s a real thing - I totally get it! There’s also a lot of content out there for life’s general activities - work, holiday, coffee dates - but a large chunk of life is spent doing a lot of other things and I think there’s really something there to share.. on how to translate style to practical situations, we need more of it! Thanks so much for watching, your comment was so great to read🫶🏻
