480 hp from 3.5L V6. I wonder how high the revving of the engine. 911 GT3-R got 8250 rpm from 4.0L flat-6. I guess this one could reach 9500 rpm, or even more.
Fun fact Tsuchiya san said because tsukuba circuit never get in the list for jgtc the team don't have correct gear ratio for the gearbox what they can do is only the final gear, suspension setting, adjust the rear wing, front canard, and tire,if his team have correct gear ratio for the gearbox he said the car can do 0.5 or 0.6 second faster
As a musician this NSX sounds achingly beautiful. High revving NA engines are already a thing of the past. Hybrids, turbos and of course.....😢 electric😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
The background soundtrack in this documentary is too good. Trance, House, Techno, and Jungle tracks that embody the spirit of ‘90s-‘00s JDM street racing subculture.
To be fair, the record he broke as well was for the touring class, which was the fastest time ever set on the circuit Also, certain classes may be limited to the tire they can use, hence why non-touring cars competing in time attacks uses a lot of aero. As far as I know, they're limited to semi-slicks at most, and what allowed tsuchiya to run the car at that time is him having slicks... That's why it also took a long time before someone broke the record, which was done by Under Suzuki...
I watchrd Tsuchiya Keiichi so much that whenever I drive my AE101 with my dad I just do what DK does in every turn, he goes down a gear to slow down the car for a turn and my father is like the co-driver of a rally car frantically telling me to "TOO FAST! TOO FAST! USE THE BREAKS! GOD DAMMIT!". I know it's a bad habit and dangerous utmost, but I just cant stop watching Tsuchita Keiichi's awesome driving.. Yeah Ill try to drive more carefully.
He's not down shifting to slow down. It's heel-toe, he's pressing the brakes while keeping the RPM up while downshifting to stay in the powerband on corner exit.
Hi, not a car guy, need some help. What car is our hero driving? I hear them say 86, but they doesn’t look at all like the the classic panda Trueno that he always drives. Is this the sameish car but just souped up and decal-ed for the race? Also any insight into cold tires/hot(?) I heard them talking about that too
