“A universal stabilizer… an antidote to chaos”. Across cultures, languages and contexts, I have found CISM to truly be this. Thanks for this presentation. Very helpful.

I need this type of therapy. Have tried many times. I have done all the newer procedures that are being tried. I am retired/ disabled line of duty injuries. When someone has to go out on an injury, unless it is some big/ press involved injury, there is no peer support. I am 58 with PTSD two tititanium knees and have to get right shoulder replacement. Not a single officer called or came by. My heart broke. I would like to start a program for peer support here. Maybe retired officer's reaching out to the younger ones. I would be willing to go to school.

This a great session. I can see a lot of avoidance in myself, particularly when I was a younger firefighter. Thanks !

Here are some questions asked during the LIVE Premiere on Aug. 25: Viewer: What types of activities would be helpful for teachers to do with students at the beginning of school to help students process what they've been through in the pandemic? Barb Ertl: It depends on age range. I like to help students start their days with focusing on positive things.

Why are EMS responders being left out of these discussions? There is more than just police and fire! What about the 911 center personnel as well to be included? I have been asking these same questions ever since my first World Congress a number of years ago.

Thanks, Jeff. Very helpful. Will stand by for additional guidance. Here at World Vision will give a focus on getting out educational messages on self care for self, your team and family....and touching bases with individuals checking if physiological and safety needs are being met. Perhaps our biggest surprise, and you talked about this, is our internet connections and bandwidth are surprisingly good. Even in the most distant locations across Africa, South Asia, the Middle East and Central America. Having trained Peer Supporters in these locations sure has helped.
