These were very similar questions I got asked last year and got stuck because my mind just went blank, this is so helpful. I have 5 university interviews in the coming weeks, one in two days. I will be using this 3 times a day to help my confidence and answer a lot better too. :)
Thank you so much for this video! It was very helpful for me. I loved reading your book too. My interview is in 5 days and I am feeling very nervous. Sometimes I feel like I know nothing so I am hoping it will all come together in the end. sending lots of love xxx
Bit late to this, but I was wondering, can you specifiy at this stage of the interview of your end goal? So if you have a specific field you are particularly interested in? For me it's perinatal MH, so I'm also applying for MH nursing.
Just wondering if you are offering 1 to 1 private sessions this year for interview preparation . ? I'm sure I have seen you do this in previous years x
Feminism is the hatred of men. It grew with communism and sole intention is destroying the west. You probably don't want to be calling yourself that bro.
Hi Ellie. I was being terribly bullied by a midwife you worked with in New Plymouth. It was absolutely terrible!! So glad you have been doing something to address it! 🙏
That was phenomenally helpful. Thank you so much. Questions that I thought I knew a clear answer to, I didn't! Its given me a lot of pointers of things to read up on and clarify in my mind. Really appreciate this.
Hello Ellie, could you please help me about interview questions? I have applied for adult nursing and will have an interview after 15 days. Please I want to get in and please advise me tips to crack it. Is there way to contact u ? Please I will be grateful to you! Thank you
Hi Ellie! Could you please do a video for preceptors, and what to expect or how to prepare. Starting my first job as a fully qualified midwife next week after a 4 month gap and feel like I've forgotten everything!
Thank you Ellie. I was finding the answer to such a significant question rather daunting, but you have clarified my thoughts and helped me to come up with the right answer for me.
Ellie i want to say I have found your book (becoming a student midwife) a massive help and to anyone reading this, it is an absolute MUST buy. Ellie thank you so much for your videos and free content. You are an inspiration. Xx
I have watched a few of your videos surrounding the interviews, but it now feels more daunting! I work as a special needs early years TA without doing an access course, so am worried that they'll feel I should be working with children and not women because all of my transferable skills and experience have been from working with children.
Hannah I am in the exact same position! I've been working in early years for a long time. If you show your passion, dedication, and that you've researched and read about midwifery as well as your transferable skills, I'm sure they will love you. I'm hoping for the same thing as I've just applied for this year as well. People who work in early years are some of the most compassionate and hardworking folk, the long hours translates to midwifery, and the knowledge of early development and psychological theories will be so beneficial in your interactions with new parents. Trust yourself, you've got this <3
@@keiramadeiracake thank you! It helps to know other people in the same position, you’re right, need to focus on the positives and what I can bring to the role from experience in early years. I have actually now got 3 offers of interview so I’m really excited but nervous for them. Hope everything goes well for you x
Massive thank you Ellie, I bought your book in September, practiced with your RU-vid mock interview multiple times and got an offer for Midwifery last month at the one uni I applied for😍I owe it to you, thank you
Could you please send me the answer for these as soon as possible my interview is coming next Monday I have 2 days. It’s very urgent could you please send me the answer for all these questions
You need to be genuine to be a carer. My advice is try and work on these to the best of your ability. Think about what you can bring to the course and profession.
I got SO much out of this Ellie. It really pulled me back onto where I should be continually pulling my answers back to from my own opinions and experiences. Thank you again. Xxx
None of these questions came up apart from why I wanted to be a midwife and why now specifically but this was helpful for preparation! I got an unconditional offer 😊
Is there any info on what stage this candidate was at - one week to interview, six months to etc, and whether they would’ve been accepted depending on this interview, wanting to know what to compare myself to!
Hiya! I'm a year 13 applying to midwifery, my first interview in two weeks. I feel like I've been cramming information and revising so much, that when I get to questions, my brain fries. But this was super helpful! It laid out how friendly these interviews actually will be, and how to link all my answers back to important things. I feel definitely a lot more confident after watching this, so thank you!
It’s crazy how your mind goes blank even though you know the answers! Thanks so much for the practice, I’m going to keep going over this until my answers flow easily without the mind blank moments 🤣 I keep hearing about “your book” so I’m off to google what it’s actually called and where I can buy it. Thank you again your videos are incredibly helpful and inspiring. ❤️
Hi Ellie I am a nurse and I have a midwifery interview this Wednesday and I’m really nervous can you please give me some tips as I am going to do the masters of midwifery please.
This was incredibly helpful to me. I can't express how grateful I am that you shared this. I am working very hard on my research and practice for my upcoming midwifery MMIs and this was a great way to practice as well as get some great input - I will be looking into your services!
Hi just found your channel and it is very helpful, I finished diploma in midwifery in the philipines and I have 1year experience working as midwife in the delivery room...I wanted to study in abroad like Canada what are the things I need to prepare...do I need to take exam in the university or interview before enrolling midwifery degree?
I’ve had interviews and maths tests booked for all of the universities I picked on ucas, and each interview I’ve attended so far I’ve been super nervous
