SK series crane concept was developed for MEGA HEAVY LIFT scope of work. In particular, the crane is ideal solution for refineries and petrochemical plants where dressed up vessels can be lifted with significant operational radius and capacity would still remain the same. SK series has been designed with the capacity up to 5,000 MTON that is world record and moreover, the crane also has quick winch - hook system with permanent capacity of 600 mton. Thus, having such crane on site you actually get 2 cranes :-))) Another field where such machine is idel solution is shipyard. SK takes less space since it never required full ring to operate in comparison to Mammoet or Saren ringers. In addition, SK could be relocated without full dismantling but using either skidways or SPMT. No one could develop such concept before and no one could do it after but only copy. I was part of 1st team who used SK90 in SAUDI ARABIA and imagine it used quarter of the ringer system only. SK90 was standing our of PLOT PLAN and on 80-m radius lifted 800-ton dressed up vessel as the most critical one along with other heavy duty vessels.
