Welcome to POP ADVenture's, where I'll be showing you guys all my different adventure's. I may be snowboarding on the mountain in the winter time. I might be disc golfing, recording my round shot by shot. I might be DJing a local event and mixing some house bangers. As you can tell the ADHD is going to be everywhere in this channel.
I've heard good things about the DC step on boots but I haven't tried them. The photon's in the wide, for me, work amazing. I got big fat feet so the 12 wides are perfect 🙌🏻
Well fit is gonna be different to each person. But it's a stiff boot is what you need for the full potential of the binding. I went 12 wide because I have some fat feet. But again they do feel wider on the non wide boots from my friends who have them. Hopefully that helps.
I'm a thicc 6'0 220 rider so im like inbetween on sizes its kind of annyoing. i got the 154 excavator but should of got the 158. still shreds though and absolutely love it.
Excavator may be my favorite tree run board of all time so niceeeee. I want the passport but i had the antidote so i felt like it was overlapping if i got it lol. But now I have an almanac (157) and excavator (154)... Addiction.
Thanks for the comment lol! The response on the bindings are really nice, sometimes can be too responsive but you get used to it after a few runs. They don't really feel different on grooms to pow.
@@P0PADVENTURES yeah you are right, this why I commented. But I noticed, it’s not the photon, I use the ion. Because I wanted upper and lower section control in the lacing. I guess both boots are very similar in flex and style, just lacing.
Superpig and Excavator are not the same. I ride both, excavator is set back and softer, Superpig is centered on side cut and a fair bit stiffer. Both great boards though 👍
@@tinsley_alex the have thee exact same shape. Yes set back but it rides the same. But I kind of rode setback anyways. Doesn't really matter both great boards.
@@P0PADVENTURES they are literally different in every spec, different waist widths, different side cut radius, different effective edge, Superpig is 10mm taper, Excavator is 20mm taper. They are nowhere near the same board. Not trying to start an argument, just stating facts so people don't get misguided.
I'm definitely going to have to check them! What I've noticed on the photon's from last year (my brothers pair) to this years model of photon's, they definitely feel stiffer. Love how Burton has great options.
I'm thiccc I'm 6'0 220lbs and I have a size 12 wide boot. If you have wide boots I really recommend getting the wides. And also get the photons over the rulers 🙌🏻
Thanks - trying to find some Photon step-ins but need to try them on first and no one here in flatlands has them in stock. Size 11, narrow heel but wide fore foot, so need to try them on first. Have slimmed down to 200, hope to stay there for a while...
@@BeakersBro yeah im probably 5 days on my photon's now and such a big fan. If you think you have wide feet just go for the wide's. Its really nice to be able to move your toes a little bit in boot but also not feel like its too big.
@@Ridee_1981 it turns like a dream. Its my favorite tree board/pow board. It also digs a freaking trench. I highly recommend this board, or if you want something a little more playful go for the new almanac. I just ordered it myself. 🤘🏻 but I recommend the 157 for the almanac and 154 on the excavator depending on your weight.
@@P0PADVENTURES I didn't realize that. Still I doubt it would've slipped out and been lost. You bought it to ride I'm guessing. Don't worry about keeping it nice. You'll have way more fun. Long as they didn't buckle an edge in transit, you're good!
It was shipped with staples closing the box. All the staples were ripped out and it had nothing to keep the board from not slipping out. It was just super sketch like a big envelope with my $500 board. Everything was fine thank god.
I recently bought a 2024 excavator in a 158. I have been riding a 163w the past two seasons. I'm 6'3" tall and 208lbs. I'm a bit concerned the 158 will be too small for me. Any thoughts on sizing down with the volume shifted excavator? Off trail trees and powder is where I spend most of my time. I'm hoping the 158 will keep my bigger body afloat on deep pow days 🤞
