Welcome @heinsberguncertinity to my channel 😊, well How to retain biology.....the answer would be make learning a pleasant experience, after all biology is the study of life, isn't it? you will have to DIVIDE the topic into bite sized chunks and revise regularly. For example the chapter 4 Class 11 - Animal kingdom. Do not study the whole chapter in one sitting. focus only on one phylum or one class at a time . For instance, Class Mammals Before learning the characteristic features of the Class, LEARN ALL 14 examples FIRST. Ornithorhynchus, Macropus, Pteropus, Macaca, Camelus, Elephas, Equus, Rattus, Canine, Felis, Delphinus, Balaenoptera, Panthera tigris, Panthera leo. Test Yourself ---can you recall all 14 names, if not go through the names again, revise, then test yourself. you might have to do it for 15 min or 30 or maybe 60 min. BUT STICK TO IT. First phylum will always be difficult but slowly you will get used to retaining information. Then test yourself again everyday till recalling these 14 names become as comfortable and as effortless as breathing! Then move to AVES and so on and so forth. Hope this suggestion will help you. I sincerely hope for your success. All the best! 👍

Also ma’am is potassium urate a nitrogenous waste?
@Inherent1
@Inherent1 Месяц назад
Yes it is a nitrogenous waste. The pathway is not covered in NCERT textbook that is the reason I did not discuss it. In first year MBBS you will get to learn a pathway called purine metabolism... adenine is a purine which has heterocyclic structure containing Nitrogen and carbon plus an amino group and it is metabolized into Inosine---hypoxanthine---xanthine---ultimately uric acid.

Ma’am does the malphigian tubules breakdown the potassium urate into Uris acid and potassium bicarbonate .?. And how is Uric acid and pottaisum urate related
@Inherent1
@Inherent1 Месяц назад
Again these interconversions are not in NCERT but I am sure the pKa you learn in chemistry NCERT textbook that will help you understand ...an acid can ionize right....so uric acid in ionized form is called urate and to keep it electrically neutral potassium ion binds to it and hence the name potassium urate.
