That would be epic to be able to do that! My single most terrifying ride in a car was in my friend's 1969 Corvette black on black big block 427 ZL-1 engined craziness. The sound and the sensations of him breaking the tires loose in all four gears right up to 120 mph was terrifying - feeling the car break loose and get squirrely at triple digit speeds will make you a believer. I believe that a bit of poo came out while my friend was giggling and chatting away with a cigarette dangling. Ah, my teenage years!
Great review, in fact I struggled to find a bad review...so I bought one, I've had it for 3 days and already I know its the best car I've owned and I"ll hang onto it for sure 👍👍
At 2 mins... "the car is not massively special"... at 7:33 "this is without a shadow of a doubt an exceptional vehicle".. which is which.. clearly the guy does not know what he is talking about!
Thank you for your comment. A car can be not very special but exceptional at the same time.... In terms of me saying not very special I mean it is quite clinical and lacks theatre. It is so good and so capable that it takes away from the sparkle of the car. It is exceptional as a daily, point to point would be as quick as my M2 I have no doubt. The ride is good, the comfort is great, the tech is amazing, but it lacks in the "special" side of things. BMW would have shot themselves in the foot if they had made it more "special" as the M2 then would have had to go some to beat it. Which for obvious reasons they couldn't do. Clearly I don't have a clue. I have only been road testing cars for nearly a decade and was taught by Chris Harris, whom some would argue is the best road tester in the world, but what do I know 😂
@@Motorflix I know! I have been so tempted in the past, particularly by the 4.4 Autobiography. They're so much car, and I've driven several belonging to friends, but it's just not worth the repair bills.
@@yonmusak I pray to the Land Rover gods daily that it doesn’t go catastrophically wrong. I am going to do an update film soon on it, as a couple of things have gone wrong and I shall talk through the bills etc. 👍🏻
They put so much effort and money in for making it as fast as possible on the Nordschleife just to fuck it all up with street tyres that are as fast as MPS4S on track 😅 They could have saved all the weight reduction and carbon bits and just put some real track semis on it and it would have been just as fast....
Great content, the last bit u mentioned that around this price u would be shopping for some other cars. i would like to ask for a real car purchase advice inbetween 992 Carrera Cab vs amg gtc roadster(same price around 140k) and if i pay 55k pounds less for a m4 covertiable. Based in chinese second hand market prices.
The. Umber if journos that answer the question rs6 or m3t in the same breath is so fun. The m3t is better and they all say it. You buy an rs6 because it’s big like the m5t but they are flawed because they are suv size crap
All those downsides can be easily fixed. I had driven a early 110 quite a few years ago for my work and liked it, that was in the early 70s. In around 2007 I decided to buy one and saw a 1997 90 300tdi with 36k on the clock, road tested it and thought - Wow! I bought it and still have it today. Upgraded the braking to a double diaphragm servo which is fantastic, wheel spacers, small steering wheel and so much more. I love it.
I have a 428i with the m suspension and I’m super impressed it is fast enough, good looking, fuel efficient and spacious even though is a 2 door. I want the z4 but now i know it has the same engine i lost some motivation.
im running on loan a 2013 RR 30TDV6 L405 loving it and tempted to buy however im hearing all these stories regards crankshaft failing ???? is this on early models or any year model of TDV6
Mine has now done just over 100,000 miles and is still going strong, just had the inlet manifolds done, which is a common fault on them, across the Disco and the Range. It is very labour intensive and not a cheap job to do. So I would check if this has been done if you are buying one with a few miles. Other than that it is a gem and I adore it. Just done a big trip to the South of France (2500 miles) and it did not miss a beat.
My g80 comp has the worst suspension ride quality Ive ever experienced , I just don’t get it why people lowering this car when the ride it’s already so bad ….🤔 g80/82 are the most overrated cars on the market ….. can’t wait for my m8 to arrive
£29000 for a 310r three years ago. I am looking at USED 310R's for £37,000 now! with the new base model 360r being around £39,000 Caterham are getting very expensive

I have had 3 defender absolutely loved them You chunk k chunk wipers The heater is crap You should fit bf Goodrich I suspect your steering is worn mine was very precise no noticeable play Always replace all steering track rod at same time Frogs replaced steering box when finally replaced track rods fixed steering
C7 was a very difficult car to improve upon. I think the C8 is better in most areas, but only by a bit. The C8 Performance version, however, makes the improvements in many of the areas more pronounced.
My new to me M2 is so fun. What drive mode do you use most of the time? I find myself in comfort when pootling, sport when driving faster. Scared of sport+
Great aren't they, I use sport most of the time, but set it so everything is soft other than the engine. Sport + is hilarious, but too much for the road really. Sport is the sweet spot.
These cars have 310hp not 297? Also its .1 of a second quicker than the hatch not slower. Due to the fact its longer its more streamlined which is why that happens
Could ask you the same…. 310ps is 306hp not 297 so your still wrong. My sources are evo, parkers, pistonheads and AT …heres an extract from Parkers “The Golf R was facelifted in 2017: this is referred to as the Golf 7.5, and has 10hp more than the pre-facelift car (taking it up to 310hp).” …👍🏻
So in fact you are wrong, I am wrong, as I quoted the MK7 power, and Parkers are wrong, due to the car having 310ps which as you point out is 306bhp….. you should message Parker’s too. In summary everyone is wrong and it’s a great car so who cares! Having done 50,000 miles in a MK 7 and a MK 7.5, trust me you can’t tell the difference!
@@Motorflix theres a ton of mechanical differences between the 7 and 7.5 such as the DQ381 seven speed dsg over the DQ250 six speed dsg so i definitely wouldnt trust you if you say they are the same 😂 but Hey you’re the journalist going to great lengths with filming etc then quoting the wrong stats, my point is do your research and get them right. Also try and take constructive criticism.
2014 RR L405, and I jumped off. Nice but Just too expensive. At 60 k miles, all fluids replaced. At 70k, rear diff went, $2k in parts, $1k in labor. Then at 80k miles, again all fluids, brakes, tires, and suggested all coolant hoses and pipes. All this would have been near $6k at an independent. I sold it…felt like I was on a time bomb and a money pit. I had a RRS, 2011 prior and repairs were under warranty. Nice cars but…
