I love hearts of palm! I eat it straight from the can. I’ll definitely try this. Trader Joe’s has cans of HoP for $2, at least half the cost of anywhere else (haven’t tried ethnic food stores for them).

I know this video is over more than a year old, but does hearts of palm taste more like calamari or crab legs? I've seen more vegans use it for the taste of calamari and I really don't like calamari but looooooove crab legs. New subscribers. ❤
@@GrownandVegan I really recommend you give it another try. It is a Louisiana spice. Meaning the flavors are released in heat(like vanilla extract). It is the secret ingredients to making seafood better
As someone who loves “crab” rangoon but also allergic to shellfish, I appreciate an alternative method to make this recipe! Thank you! I also use heart of palm to make vegan calamari. I give it that “fishy” taste by using nori seaweed sheets crumbled up and also use Panko breading for the crisp. Great video!!
I have that sauce. Its good when mixed with the right ingredients. I use a lil Zatarans fish broil for mine to get rid of the brime flavor and mix it with other ingredients. Less is more with the broil. My seafood pasta was delicious. My vegan 6 yr old had 3 bowls 🥣
