Hello. I recently inherited a huge AMT and gave my mother a cutting. I did everything like you did. The only difference is, the top was not cut. It is round like a normal tip. Is that ok? It's been potted for about two weeks and it looks good but no change.

Got my plant from stater bros a couple years ago. Repoted it in soil and it grew tall. Noticed the tips were turning yellow/brown recently. Realized I needed a pot that allows draining! Hopefully this helps, I've had this plant so long ❤

I have never introduced myself. Now I am an enthusiast from Tennessee where I have a large bedroom in my daughter’s home (30+ plants and holding). But was from the hi desert north of Palm Springs so I know the LA area and Phoenix. (Loved your LA shopping a while back). I so appreciate your succulents! I wish I had started my hobby sooner. I enjoy your wisdom and skills, even family!! Thank you!

Just got into gardening a year ago this month and a fellow garden club gal gave me my first one a year ago. In transporting home I broke off 2 offshoots. Had no idea what to do with them so I just planted in good succulent soil with perlite and trimmed the stem to about a 2" and that's all I did. They not only survived but have thrived. I now have from the first plant 2 thriving plants and today I will cut off a few more shoots and plant them. I'm doing my first plant sale next February (never did one before) with my garden club and want to have 2 or 3 to sell for our group's fundraiser. I'm going to experiment and see if they'll root hydroponically as I currently have 2 big ice plants and took a vine from there. It has a major root system now and I'll plant that soon. When their offshoots are growing the mother plant will then start to die off her leaves, just remove them. I'm very excited about this unique plant that I've never seen anywhere in SW Florida. Can take pix if you like and send to you, just need an email address.

Your ideaology matches my own. Your syngonium was beautiful. I have never seen the variegation. There so many plants to choose from. Thank you for sharing your ideas. I loved it. The more assessable or common planrs are often easier also, thriving with a little less effort, and just as lovely.

Hello Carmen...Im thankful for finding your page...I looked for over 25 years for a Mother of Millions like my mother had when I was a kid, she died when I was 17 so I couldn't ask the actual name or where she'd gotten it. I moved from Washington state to Florida for a major brain surgery & after some time, I actually found the plant outside an incense shop, my mom had told me you had to be gifted the babies or leaflets as I think you called them!! After getting 5 babies gifted to me by the owner, she didn't even notice she had anything in her pot besides the main plant(can't remember what kind it was)anyways in tge last 5.5 years, I have grown thousands of the mother of millions plants but last summer I stopped at a garage sale & tge lady had a plant that had several different kinds of plants in it & there was a light green "Mother of Millions" which I noticed the first lighter green one you showed you called "Mother of Thousands" to go along with all my pointed leafed Mother of Millions which grow a umbrella of beautiful pink blooms that last all winter but the light green obes haven't grown any kind of flowers yet but I have propagated tge babies all over my property & I love them to pieces...Im 9n disability so I can't afford to buy any plants butxI collect seeds & starts from wherever I can find, mostly at my doctor appointments around the properties, I just pick up seeds off the ground & take them home & plant them!! I got a bunch of bags of soil when it was on an amazing sale fir $2.00 a 1.5 cu ft bag of brand name potting soil with light fertilizer in it so I'm always looking for any pots to transplant anythung growing out of its original pots...My joy is playing with the plants whenever I'm well enough to go out there in my wheelchair & mess around with whatever I'm growing at the time!! I really enjoyed your video & have subscribed to your channel...I look forward to seeing you in the future with all your different plants!! Thanks, Misty 😊

Thank you Carmen, this was so helpful. I have a lucky bamboo that is almost 6 years old and has been growing in rocks and water and after I transplanted it to a larger pot last year it has not done well and started turning yellow. I took it out of its pot and discovered its roots smelled stinky. I found a video about using hydrogen peroxide in dilution to clean the roots, and it has gotten better, but it keeps getting stinky again. I am cleaning it one more time and after seeing your video I want to try planting it in soil. Poor thing, its been in rocks and water all this time, I look forward to seeing how it does in soil and with some fertilizer. I've never fertilized it.

Hi, I wanted to use red chalk paint on an outdoor ceramic pot. What can I put over it when dry, make it glossy (nothing crazy). Also so it doesn’t bleed if it rains and protection from sun bleaching. I know that’s allot but I am new to this. Thanks in advance for the info!!

I have had mine in water for over 10 years. I put hydrophobic solution in it one time 5 years ago. I keep the pot full of water and the roots under water most the time. Maybe I will try soil.
