💖 i spent time there a loooooong time ago. With my Dad. We found a few and he had them faceted by a friend. They are now set in a ring I intend to hand on to a precious family member. 💖
Stayed at Bullock Mountain a few years ago in the old cabin, stunning location. Fossicked the creek further up and was working in waders as much deeper water plus working into the bank. Success?.. yes but no cutters. Had a bonus, one of the dogs gave birth when we were there, really special. You need to make a crack scratcher out of an old screwdriver and also a yabby pump with a small nozzle. Still plenty of spots people would have missed and floods will recharge the crevices.
Thanks for watching mate, and for the great comment. I’m hoping to go back with my brother in a year or two, I was restricted location wise given dad’s Parkinson’s and mobility issues. When you say further up the creek do you mean further toward Beardy Water, or upstream? Next time I’ll have some better crevicing tools for sure!
No uniquely Aussie food? What are you talking about? I’m an Aussie born and I grew up eating lamingtons, fairy-bread, meat pies, sausages/onion/tomato sauce and bread (using sausages that are better than in Canada), prawns for Christmas, Mortein Bay Bugs, steak and different unique cuts of meat that I know for sure you can’t get in Japan or Canada. Cheese that you can’t get in Canada. Even our mcDonalds is completely different to other McDonalds around the world to suit Aussies. Our uniquely Aussie Burgers in general have egg, beetroot and pineapple on them . And that’s exactly how I’ve eaten them since a child. We also eat Kangaroo and I’m pretty sure that’s unique to Australia. Pavlova does belong to NZ hence the kiwi fruit. Also people wear a stinger suit in stinger season, it is the law to wear a helmet when riding a bike, and please do not litter (there are bins everywhere), or bring food or animals here, we take our cleanliness and biodiversity seriously and we have a delicate ecosystem that we depend on and need to protect.
Hi Miranda, looks like I’ve struck a nerve! There’s a difference between individual food items and cuisine, most tourists will be eating at restaurants and while some food items such as kangaroo and bugs are uniquely Australian, they’re still prepared using universal cooking techniques. My point is that we borrow from a vast array of cuisine and cultures. Thai, French, Chinese, Indian, Italian, Persian etc etc are all cuisines unique and distinct to countries/regions, I don’t really think a Coles snag on white bread constitutes a form of cuisine that most tourists would seek out. You’re right though, I could have recommended they try a decent sausage roll or a neenish tart while here. Thanks for watching and the feedback in any case 😀
Planning on going 🇦🇺 this august. Love your comments on 🇺🇸 apex predators. I think us Mericans are terrified of 🇦🇺 🕷️ and 🐍 is b/c of huge spider sizes (huntsman especially) and 🇦🇺 many venomous ones. It’s those subtle animals that terrify and to Americans most of 🇦🇺 beasts are such legends from the very cute to deadly ones. Thanks for this valuable info, I’m subbie
Thank you for watching, the kind words and the sub! Like I said, the spiders and snakes are gone before you even knew they were there most of the time! Where are you planning on visiting in august?
Awesome! Thank you so much for uploading this video and sharing great tips as we are going to surfers Paradise in April, we will be staying ất Novotel as well ❤! Thanks again 💕
@@the_clueless_traveller We're from Melbourne! Thanks for your reply Andrew. Atm we are looking for the rental car to accomodate 13 people, so its a bit of searching :). Looking forward for your new uploads. Cheers
@@camquang6 You might need to get a 15 seater hiace, but they won’t fit in underground car parks I think? I hope the weather is great when you’re up, April/May can still be a little humid but the weather is normally quite nice here around then!
Agree about the hire car. Years ago I stayed and got public transport to Surfers so I could have a few drinks. My husband and I had to rush to the bus as it was the last one, sometime around 5-6pm and then on the way back get a tram to Broadbeach and then a bus. Can’t remember the suburb but it was a bit of a mission.
I'm glad I found your video! My husband and I are moving to the Gold Coast in a month and we're trying to learn as much as we can 😋 we are currently in Spain and we have never been to Australia so this is a big change for us. I really liked the way you edited this video, you made it fun and easy to stay till the end ☺️ Thanks for your tips and keep up with your content! I want to learn more about the GC!
Thank you so much for watching and for the kind words of support Melissa! I’ll have some new Gold Coast content up real soon! Do you know what part of the Gold Coast you’re moving too yet?
Biggest bullshit place to live in. Great for holidays, don't move here, it is horrible. Every suburb looks the same, terrible transport problems, unsafe beaches, moldy, touristy, expensive, hard to make friends, plastic, seedy, crime and drugs, Surfers paradise./ What paradise? No work, no daylight savings, floods, no rental accomodation, , overrated, DAMN hate living here,
Hey man all 3 great tips. Planning for a trip to Gold Coast this Oct and would love your advices on where to go for a 3 day trip. I'm having 1 day for the theme park, 1 day for Tamborine mountain, probably a half day for whale watching. Also some of your suggestions on the local cuisine would be much appreciated.
Thanks for watching mate! Where will you be staying? Sounds like your 3 day trip is already pretty full, so I’d suggest some food for you to check out! Paddock Bakery, Etsu Izakaya, The Glenelg Public House, Rick Shores and Balboa Italian are just a few of the many places I’d suggest!
@@the_clueless_traveller Himalayas is superb + a lil bit risky too at times but yes people will love to watch himalaya vlog because there are not many RU-vidr done that.. goa is amazing but very common
Interesting tips! I'll take note of that once I visit Australia. One thing that I learned and wanted to share with you is to look for a duffle bag that best fits your luggage and has all the wonderful features a bag can have especially in plane travel use. I'm using Nomad Lane's Bento Bag and it's a good choice.
@@the_clueless_traveller i will definitely be watching them buddy im booked on a novice but its my first im quite nervous and its an opens :D im good for the experience but after this comp ill be going for intermediate.
@@the_clueless_traveller Pennsylvania USA, I'd be interested in seeing some videos of you practicing your events with tips. I think that would be some cool content.
@@jaredmercer392 I will post some content like that soon for sure dude! Once I’m in the swing of things and fully recovered from the Rona. My next video will be about what I’m doing to help me recover as best as I can. Good luck at your comp in Pennsylvania, keep me updated on how your prep goes!
Hey Natasha, no not all, however the most recent posts are more likely to get you engagement as it is more likely that the person will be online, or at least checking their notifications a bit more. You can apply it anything though. It gets you in the habit of engaging and learning how your target audience interacts :)
Thank you so much for watching Chris, I appreciate you taking the time to comment! Would love for you to subscribe to the channel and join me for some more strongman fun next year!
Hello from Toronto, Canada. Like you Andrew, I love watching videos posted by Adam Swords and Michael Blakey. What would we do without these two keeping us entertained throughout this pandemic. You have a similar positive vibe to Adam that makes watching both of you very easy and enjoyable. I’ll be tuning into your videos often.😁👍🏻😁
Thank you so much Rhonda! I appreciate you watching and the kind words! I’m so stoked to hear you think I have a similar vibe to Adam, I definitely feel a connection with him from his videos that’s for sure!!
Thank you so much! I don’t understand either! It’s late here in Australia, so I need to get to bed, but I’m excited to check out your pumpkin patch video tomorrow! Thank you for watching and for the kind words ❤️
Nice. I like the vlog style. I'm more of a body builder, but have massive appreciation for strongman. 200kg is a great effort. Just subbed pal, keep it up 💪💪
Thank you my dude! Appreciate you watching! I’m heading over to your channel now to do the same! I wish I’d gotten into lifting earlier, I feel like bodybuilding is maybe beyond me now! I’m happy with the strength training at the moment!
Can you make a reaction video to The lady of heaven movie Trailer? I know this isn’t your type of content but sometimes change can be positive. It’s coming out in cinemas on December 10 , 2021 and it’s fine, your reaction video doesn’t have to be professionally made. what matters is you do it out of the goodness of your heart 😃❤️
Thanks for watching and for the well wishes, it’s appreciated! Age is just a number! As long as I listen to my coach and don’t do anything silly I’ll be fine, there’s other guys at the gym doing Strongman well into their 50’s :)
