Memories ... In 2012 Joke Verschueren, fantastic tuba-player and founding conductor of our fanfare Toeterdonk (in Tildonk not far from Brussels), managed to collect enough instruments to start not one, but two bands in the orphelinage Don Bosco-school in Nairobi, Kenia. She worked there as a volunteer, teaching English and Math. And music, of course. When she had to return to Belgium, she left many sad little eyes, but also a shiny gang of young, proud musicians, and her favourite song: "You Raise Me Up". I think I heard that in your YT-file too, didn't I? Would there still be more high talented young women to make, bit by bit, note for note, the world a better place? You give a beautiful example. Thanks!
