@@JQ127-c4e YESS!!! That's awesome. And you just made ME remember something: Dave, the singer / guitarist, had a Philadelphia Flyers sticker on HIS guitar! I had totally forgotten that. It was such an off-putting thing to see that sports sticker at a punk rock show... But that was the beautiful thing about Buglite! Although they were very active in the scene, they were never at all concerned with being perceived as punk. To me, they were more like- high-energy... hopeless romantics?

@@Classickiller692 That's awesome! Yeah, there was a whole scene of bands there when I was 17... not so sure about now. Pretty sure Buglite was from Brookhaven? Not 100% sure. But they toured all over and were such a tight band. Probably most of the bands on my channel so far were from Delco... and there were so many more!
@@Rompler_Rocco that’s so cool yeah I live in havertown so in like the delco area there’s some bands but it’s mostly classic rock rip off bands and we have one hardcore band

We were 13 when we started, and stayed together until shortly after high school... it never stopped being fun. There's a Doh-Boys playlist on this channel if you enjoyed it :) The quality is all over the place, but probably the stuff from 1997 on was our... "best"? Still digging for more! I JUST found THIS on tape, which I had no idea existed, and there's at least another demo tape I still haven't found... If you liked it, thanks!!

Before you say it, I know it should be "WHOM" ;) This is just a very special clip for me, from February 2024. I hadn't played drums for years, and just donated this drum set to some dear friends... Turns out that THE coolest kid ever (no joke), who has been like family to me since she was born, now plays the violin. We couldn't resist the opportunity to attempt a quick jam! Mind you, she had never "jammed" before, and I am a long-retired heavy-hitting punk drummer trying to play very softly. But, hey, why not post it? We weren't trying to impress anyone here, just sharing a cool life moment :)

ANSWERED! This is "Angelo Badalamenti - Dub Driving", from the Lost Highway soundtrack (which I assume means it was also likely co-written or influenced directly by David Lych). No wonder! They are both incredible forces to be reckoned with. Thanks for the info, Joe! "...While quickly checking through hundreds of unlabeled cassette tapes, I noticed that this one had something unfamiliar and awesome recorded onto it... It turns out that this is from my friend Joe Smiley's excellent radio show of independent music on WKDU Philadelphia, dating back to 2000 or 2001... I don't remember recording it! This guy is SUPER generous and cool. I saw Goldfinger several times in '96 (they played over 700 shows in that year alone), and Darrin always made time to hang out with the fans, he even humored us by accepting a demo tape and then gave The Doh-Boys a shout-out at the Trocadero in Philly. The man could climb 20 feet of PA speakers and then jump back down onto his drum set to finish out a song. They always sounded perfect. Anyway, this is from his underrated, rare, and very funny solo punk album.
