Playing? 😂 I see a Fox playing with a Rabbit. The fox was so friendly that he carried this rabbit in his mouth. The rabbit liked it so much that he went to sleep. Cute World 😂
There's not much of a playing in there; both are visibly tense, cat is clearly defending its teritory by trying to scare off the fox; look at its posture (cat's): lowered tail, tip of it is moving nervously . Also you can see how the fox reacts while being chased (especially ears)
Fearless cat wonders why this dog is not barking.... Generally, stupid dogs make odd loud sounds, but this one keeps stum... Strange, very strange. Cat's brain confused....
They arent playing foxes will eat cats especially if they sense weakness by illness or not showing aggression, it ran to the side and had a good sniff is this cat ill, but it was quite a big looking cat with the fur and didnt want to test itself to much but its all a ploy for an attack...
That is a cat on high alert with it’s tail all puffed up. Not quite clear all of what is happening. I’d say that the fox is curious and the cat is concerned and is showing the fox that he can defend himself.
We had some gray Fox orphans living in our backyard for a while. It backed to nature. Our cats loved to run around with them, especially at night. Then the foxes just moved on one day.
I'm not sure they're playing, cats defending their territory can look somewhat like that, although often with more cat noises. They have staring/cat-noise contests, and then one of them runs away, but often the winner runs after the other just to further reinforce that he's the boss. With a different animal species there will be some communication differences. Seems like a low-stakes version of that, each one being like, "meh, I don't even care all that much." Not to say that a cat and a fox wouldn't ever be friends, but I guess that would depend on some people deliberately raising them together, most of the time, by far.
