I love your video! It explains the project from start to finish! I love that I can watch as I go along! Thank you for great instructions! You make it look so easy❤️
Thank you so very much!🤗🌸 I really made this for a beginner crocheter so I wanted to be as thorough and receptive with clear instructions. 😊 I remember what it was like when I first began to crochet and so many tutorials were so fast and didn't explain everything from start to finish. I'm so happy to hear that this has helped. 💞🧶 Happy Crocheting!
Hi Carolyn!🙋🏻♀️ It is called an awl. I stole a brand new one out of my husbands tools.😜 But you can purchase them in the craft department at any hobby/crafting area or store.
@@nancyn137 Hi Nancy! 🙋🏻♀️ You can use any yarn that has a number 4 on the label ( I used acrylic 4 weight yarn for this tutorial) or any kitchen cotton yarn. ( like peaches & cream / Sugar ‘n Cream / Everyday Cotton by Loops & threads - a Michaels Store Brand/ I love this cotton - a Hobby Lobby brand / even from the dollar tree they have their own version called Just Cotton. 🧶 When using cotton I usually do more rows of the single crochet rows to add a little height in the beginning few rows as acrylic yarn is thicker. I will also add a few extra rows to the “handle” rows to add length as to ensure it wraps around oven door handle or cabinet handle without it being too tight. 👍🏻 Hope this helps! Happy Crocheting! 🧶
Hi Shawna!🙋🏻♀️ Thanks so much! 😊 I'm so sorry I missed this comment somehow. I don 't know what is going on with RU-vid but I had a slew of a bunch of comments just pop up on my dashboard that are months old! 😱 So, my apologies for not responding sooner. 🌸🤗
Hi Nancy!🙋🏻♀️ Thank you so much! 🌸😊 I don't know what is going on with RU-vid but I have recently just had a slew of comments pop up that are months old! 😱 So sorry for not seeing this sooner. I am so happy to hear that this helped and I hope you had fun making your crochet towel tops. 😜🧶
Hi Tammy! 🙋🏻♀️ Thank you so very much for your kind comment! 🤗🌸 I'm so sorry I have missed this comment. I had a lot of fun making it and my family thought it was so cute! 💞 Love that little piece of bunny fabric! 🐰
Hello, new to your channel and I love your crumb quilt! It’s beautiful! I am currently working on making a crumb quilt and the fabric scraps seem to keep multiplying……😂. I do like how you put the white strips between the blocks and that is what I’m going to do. So glad I stumbled across your channel. ❤
Hiya Tammy!🙋🏻♀️ Welcome to my little crafty corner of RU-vid! I'm so happy to have you join me here on my crafting adventures.💞 We have had a load of things happening the past few months but I will be back very sooooon and regularly posting what I have been working on, sharing projects and treasures etc. Thank you for being here. 🌺😊
What do you do with the begining base stitch when you start at the left of the material you have nothing on the seam. What do you do with that seam? Thank you for Answering me.
Hi Bobbie!🙋🏻♀️ So sorry I somehow missed this comment. My apologies for taking so long to respond. If I am understanding correctly .... you are asking about the very first hole I make with the awl on the foundation row correct? If that is what you mean, then the towel already has a sewn edge so I start making my foundation row right inside that factory made seam as it is already enforced. Once the towel is completed that part automatically turns to the back and it's only approximately 1/4" so it is in line with the rest of the foundation row. I hope this answers your question. If I misunderstood you can always email me with any questions and I will do my very best to answer and explain. my email is in description box of every video I post.
My daughter Amy wanted me to make her some of these for Christmas I made these years ago...I have mine but they are like 25 years old...but glad you had this fresh reminder to me...her dogs knocks hers off the oven door so thanks
Hi Kimberly!🙋🏻♀️ I don't know how I missed so many comments so first and foremost, my apologies for taking so long to respond. 💞 Yes, these are so fun to make and I have some my mom made me years and years ago! I know your daughter Amy will truly appreciate them so much! My daughter loves them for the same reason... lol 😂
How did I miss this video???? The unicorn quilt will be loved by your granddaughter I'm sure. My granddaughter would love one but I don't quilt. Their house was totally demolished in a tornado a few months ago. They were in their safe room (laundry room) and the whole house collapsed on them. Luckily they were okay. After living with us for 3 months they are now living in a camper. Hoping to get a home before winter. Thanks for sharing all your lovely projects with us. See you next time! 🥰 God bless. ♥️
OH MY GOODNESS Debra! 😱 Praise the Lord that they are ok! How scary to experience that! We had a tornado go right over our area right before I was ready to leave house and drive to Austin awhile back. Scariest sound and experience of my life! Praying they find another home before winter. 🙏 I'm so sorry for not seeing this comment sooner. Loads happening over here... I'll be back to regularly posting videos sooooon. 👍🏻😊❤️🌸

Thank you so much Barbara!😊🌸 I'm beyond thrilled I found that yarn! 🧶 I have been searching almost every single day! Persistence pays off. 😜👍🏻 The poncho is labeled as a medium 4 but It is definitely thinner than a worsted. Prayers, love & Squishy big hugs to you my sweet friend! 🙏🏻❤️🤗

This is how I feel about the littel thrift store I found in presque Maine I spent 245 dollers but I got over 60 different panels 10 bolts of 15 yards each of Bantrex solids they where 7 dollers a bolts I didn't find 3 different bolts at 20 each of Windham I honestly wish I had more space in my car because I would have left with so much more when I go next year I'm definitely bringing only a suit as with clothes so I can get more bolts at that price I wouldn't need anything for a year 🤣🤣🤣
