Hey guys, welcome to Nerdy Treasures! I collect all sorts of different nerdy treasures, action figures from the Black Series, S.H.Figuarts, Threezero and more as well as various statues and props from Star Wars, Marvel, Lord of the Rings and Star Trek to name a few but (aside from my family) Im the only one whoever gets to enjoy them!
Collecting can be a lonely hobby, so I created this here channel, to share my new finds and connect with like-minded collectors.
I have seen many Black Series collections. I collect the line myself. Most collections are organized by era or trilogy. However, seeing yours with all the eras and characters mixed...conceptually I shouldn't like it but...I think I love it! I don't know how, but having all the eras mixed makes it look homogeneous and coherent. Star Wars is seen as a whole and not just the sum of its parts. In a few words.... fantastic display of your collection. I loved it!
@@principioyrenovacion ha, great comment! And thanks! Yeah thats the aim! Way too often feels like star wars is several different franchises in one, but it’s all star wars to me! And if i just want to pick up one fig from a particular show, i can just fit it in wherever 😊
Nice video ! There are so many underrated black series. The knight of ren is an other figure that has great articulations, détails and paint that suffers from being a sequel trilogy character. Same goes for the inquisitors from the kenobi show and Marok : great likenesses and articulations but ended up being on clearance because the shows are not that popular...
Knight of Ren almost made the list, but didn't want it to become a list of mostly sequel figs! :D For me, there are so many characters being chucked at us atm from the Disney shows that I find myself waiting before picking them up, to see if they become a mainstay or if they only end up in a handful of scenes and I end up forgetting about them!
Fantastic video, Nerdy Treasures! I'm looking forward to your next upload. I smashed the thumbs up button on your content. Keep up the amazing work! Your insights on underrated figures really opened my eyes. Have you thought about how the perception of these figures might change if they were featured more prominently in upcoming media?
Thanks for the lovely feedback! Really appreciated. Oh 100%... Im sure there are instances of figures getting a resurgence in popularity once they reappear.
This is fantastic! The whole area has such a unique look, and I love the individual poses for the figures! You've got some really dynamic ones in there! Do yoy look up reference images for posing your figures or just wing it?
Thanks for watching Tony! Yeah I like to see if any of the big statue companies have made a statue of the character (take advantage of their R&D!) and then try to replicate it, or reference an iconic marketing shot from the film or show, if all else fails, I'll wing it!
@@NerdyTreasures I do the exact same thing! Can't always get it 1:1 but sometimes it opens up new ideas and you end up with a great looking display :))
Hi from Australia - a very nice display mate & the lighting shows off the figures to their best. I have those stands which are my "go to", however I think a new design is required these days to better secure the feet/foot. The age of some BS figures is showing eg: the Jango Fett really needs a full update (I have the same version). Not sure how hot it gets in the UK, but I'd watch the figures in the attic space where toys can 'cook' .... maybe that's just us in Oz LOL.
Hi to Australia! Thanks man. Yeah they aren't perfect, some foot holes you have to really force and others are loose on all of the pegs. But on the whole they work. Ha! yeah, no cooking over in the UK, does get warm up here, but mostly enough to just soften knee joints... Means I get a lot of shelf divers in the summer! Thanks for watching!
Amazing collection! I also have the same rules as you. I don’t want any repeats of a character and only want the best look. However, I did break my rule with only Luke because I wanted the Return of the Jedi one fighting Vader and also the Dagobah training one that came with Yoda. 😂
Ha. Yeah funnily enough I did the same with Luke once, but was with the Endor Luke, as was always one of my fav scenes as a kid! But he did ultimately end up going to make room for others! When I do want to keep multiples, I keep them in my fodder draw, and then switch out the look every now and then, like an accessory change 😁
