Obeticholic acid is awful with side effects and is known for causing liver injury who wants that? Must think people are a absolute fools. There's better medication out there but they just wanna keep you ill.

Hi hi diagnosed with PBC in December started the medication, six months old and I’ve nearly put on stone I’m very active and I keep a healthy lifestyle. Is that all there any medication the doctor told me to come off my depression tablets which I have put no 😢made any difference

I have had chronic anaemia for months, not seen my GP had a. telephone consultation to tell me this, I am now on the last of a 3 month course of 5mg folic acid. I also have B12 injection every 12 weeks. I am extremely tired all the time . 77 years old. Also have Crohn’s disease , hence B12 injections.My GP clearly has no idea that there is a link between PBC and anaemia . I’m left wondering now which type?

I need treatment for my brain, fatigue and pain..it's a living hell and there's too many side effects of what is offered,it's not good enough.

I have the itch which turns into rash. Haven't slept through the night for over a year Or more colestyramine makes no difference and causes stomach issues. Its cruel and severe affects confidence and self esteem

So heavy for the everyday person.

sorry but vegetable oils are high in Omega 6 which competes with Omega 3. it's better avoid most of vegetable oils expect avocado oil, extra virgin olive oil or virgin coconut oil.

Thank you. John, 53, diagnosed in March 2023. Urso is working! All numbers are normal. Interestingly I had a bit of a “liver attack” last year simultaneously with my second bout of Covid. I had about every symptom except jaundice and actual liver damage. Was bad.

URSO didnt help me with PBC - but Bilifuge did (you can find it in the Pharamcy - at least in Switzerland)/ Rapeseed oil is really bad... please read the latest studies. (olive oil (only cold) and coconut (best cold and to fry) are best oils + macadamia, Walnut and Brasil nuts - if you have no alergy). Not all nuts are good ! (hazelnut which are technically not even nuts, Penauts and Cashews are not good) Vit D can be supplemented 5000-10000 IU in the winter! Its high level is an imperative for strong immune system (google correlation of vit D3 level and Covid ;) I feel much much better after skipping ALL grains (not only wheat). Despite that i have no allergy to any grain (checked twice) and no Antibdies to Gliadine (part of Gluetn in Wheat). Simply skip all and it may help you to rebuild microvilli in Duodenum within a few months (Microvilli are important part especially of Duodenum - they Signal (CCK and Secretine) to the brain what enzymes Pancreas has to produce and how much bile Liver has to produce (gall bladder has to release). It also is responsible to synchronize pancreas and gallbladder work (enzymes and bile have to be released in the same time - to digest fats (it is lik 2 tubes in "super glue":)) the fats will be digested only if Lipase will be activated by bile. (just sharing my personal experience and 5 years of investigating into my SIBO/PBC/Gluten intolerance - maybe it will halp someone)

Kombucha tastes amazing !! I tried Kombucha on myself (I have SIBO and I make kombucha myself at home) - and it REALLY helps to relieve my symptoms (not sure how much Kombucha helps with PBC).

I’m on the estradiol patch and micronized progesterone pill. My two Heps with Mayo know this and are fine with it. They do prefer patch or cream estrogen over pill form estrogen, so that was noted I was never on birth control when I was younger (51 now), and was only recently diagnosed earlier this year. To me, HRT has been a lifesaver as far as symptom management. I also take HRT to hopefully prevent the big three: osteoporosis, heart disease and brain/nuero diseases
