This video needs to show how to set up from earlier in the process. Because you won’t even get the function option if the tilt sensor isn’t set up initially through a new job set up. We eventually figured it out but took us much longer than it should have. Can be money and time wasted if you’ve never used the function before. Granted you can call a dealership or customer service but dealer is closed on Saturday and customer service wasn’t much help.
What causes the xml to convert the design elevation to my damn grade elevation ? It is fine on the base xml sent from the company , but once it’s scaled and exported to me it is not the correct design elevation.
This is amazing. I recently started using Trimble Total Station and am very excited to explore upcoming technologies in surveying. Currently, I am using Total Station S5 and Controller TSC3. Just want to hear how far I am from the latest technology.

Is the estimated errors having tighter vertical accuracy than horizontal accuracy with tilt enable sometimes due to the combination of GNSS and IMU errors, with there being more IMU errors for hieizontal position?
Is there a reason why when recording data from trimble (tdc650) for a line or polygon, it adds onto the existing layer rather than making a new layer/duping it?
The Terra Office add-in(s) workflow is designed to connect TerraFlex data collection workflows directly to an ArcGIS schema through ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap). As it's a form of "direct connection" and not an export/import workflow, features are intentionally stored in the existing layer schema. On the other hand, the export workflows in the Trimble Connect Map Viewer (shp, fgdb, csv, kml) can be used to generate export files; a new set of export files is generated for each export operation.

Good question. The X9 is a ground based, or terrestrial scanner, so it's designed to be statically mounted on a tripod. It's not designed to be mounted on a drone or mobile application.
Why not shoot the rim of the manhole and deduct to your invert? Instead you put the whole seco rod with a $ 15000 antenna on it in a sewer? So you don't have to do any math? Not on my crew. Besides the multi path of your signal you have two men comparable to buildings on a normal topo, standing in your mask angle. Shit like that is the reason inverts are +/- on plans.
