In 2024 is the dog food plant still open I heard it wasn't? what area is the good part what area to avoid so I won't hear the train How do I get the city of Edmond Oklahoma to fix the roads the neighborhood roads are really damaged lots of patchwork 400k up houses on bad residential roads who do I complain to ? I decided not to buy a house because the neighborhood roads were so bad at one point Edmond has all this money but the neighborhood roads are bad very dilapidated
Home owners insurance has been going up. Give the Dooley agency a call at 405-634-2692 and ask to discuss in detail with Dustin. He’ll be able to provide a much better estimate than me. Total guesstimate I would say around 3,500 dollars depending on coverage and deductible but total guesstimate and I am not licensed in insurance, Dustin will be able to provide a true estimate. 2:05 Google Maps shows Edmond to Norman at 42mins or 32 miles. And this is with no traffic jam/slowdown. That 5 days a week daily commute would get pretty old.
Interesting fact! That neighborhood was previously a single home. What was Interesting about it is it had a small plane with a hanger and a runway! There are some nice homes there.
@LivingInTheOklahomaCityMetro nah I have a house on 5 acres. I worked 30 years around Edmond ,north and west okc, yukon, mustang El reno west to elk city. North to ponca city ,Blackwell west to Woodward and guymon . East to Shawnee , Cushing, Stillwater and just outside Sapulpa . South to Norman, Moore and Purcell. So I've seen how Edmond doubled in size and the deer creek and piedmont areas exploded.

You can set up your own shooting range and fire your guns off and no one complains. All country people have guns. The sheriff may take some time to get there. I do not recommend any thieves or home invaders mess with them. They also have dogs to guard the livestock and home. You won't sneak up on them. They can often see you coming miles away anyway. You can see the dust from the cars a long way off.
I looked up Goldsby awhile back. Not sure how it got a town name. From what I could tell, there is literally no town to see on Google satellite view. Just clumps of houses here and there with a couple industrial looking areas.
I’ve driven through there before but I can’t remember seeing a post office. I know that some of our smaller towns have a post office and a couple churches, I’ll have to pay more attention next time I drive through.

Be sure to explain that this isnt the majority of Shawnee...its none of the regular neighborhoods only the super rich ones. Actual Shawnee is full of methamphetamine, bed bugs and poverty 😅
