I remember it differently, I was around 13/14 years old back then, we just got cable in our house and I was up late when I saw my first episode of SNL. Always started with Chevy doing his prat fall. Then someone in the cast would yell “Live from New York, it’s….” After the first year, rumor’s swirled around the show about Chevy’s out of control behavior. He was on drugs a lot. Well the cast came out and said they were all on drugs. Then, The next year Chevy was there one show and not the next and Bill Murray shows up more and more. Chevy was still there but not that often. The rumor was contract negotiations, Chevy didn’t show up cause he thought he should get paid more. The news would say Lorin Micheals was replacing him because no one is bigger than the rest of the team. The same tactic used with Charley Sheen, to control the actor. Well Chevy went on to become a movie star with Caddy Shack followed later on with National Lampoons Vacation. During all this though, the producers of these movies would say that he was difficult to work with. I didn’t think much about it. It’s an old ploy to draw up attention to a new project. Or so I thought. Then Ghostbusters came out and no one wanted to call Chevy up to be in the movie. So maybe the Rumors were true. Flash forward to the Show Community. The star, Joel McHale, said he was very difficult to work with. So maybe, they are not rumors.
It's not a funny video!! Given Will F.'s extreem comedic talent, I know other, funnier bloobers could be found. Does the infamous SNL skit "Cow Bell" ring a bell?
