I wish everyone understood opioid dependence/addiction and withdrawal as well as the lady in this video does! I got off dope right before the Fentanyl epidemic took over in like 2018. Been on methadone ever since and never looked back. 110mgs a day and living a normal life.

i do not know whether it's because i was educated on the topic pretty young, or whether i just have *basic fucking empathy*, but i never thought of withdrawals as smth addicts "deserve" or should "have to" go through for the ""moral failing"" of using drugs in the first place?? like holy SHIT, no!!

I took pills and during the pandemic it was hard in the beginning to find them …so I tried H and it more than likely was fent from down Kensington…I thought the withdrawals would be similar to pain killers but boy I was wrong …whoever created this drug is the devil …the withdrawals seemed impossible to get over and I felt trapped …I eventually came up with a plan …I took Perc 30s until the withdrawal went away and never tried that again …suboxone helps but u don’t wanna get hooked on that …gotta eat fruits and healthy during that and you will be fine

As long as you don't use it as a replacement, I recommend everyone who is severely addicted to opiates to try getting off through kratom. Kratom has its own withdrawal but it's a cakewalk compared to opiate withdrawal. I know as someone who is off of kratom completely and was taking it for 6 years. It can lessen or even completely remove the symptoms of withdrawal while you are trying to get off of opiates. It effects the same receptors while not latching onto them the same way that opiates do. Do your research, but I would rather people try that as an option instead of the recommendations of suboxone or any of those opiates that are just as hard to come off if not more that opiates. Please do your own research people. Don't listen to people like this lady who pretend to care about your problems so that big Pharma can profit off of your addiction.

I argued with someone about this not to long ago. They said, “There’s NO way you can die from opioid withdrawal.” I told them that yes you can…..you can throw up so much and have diarrhea so much you get so dehydrated you die. It elevates your heart rate and if you already have BP or heart issues you can have a heart attack, a stroke, seizure’s and if you’re alone you could easily die. They kept saying it’s not that bad and finally I asked, “Have you ever used opiates and stopped suddenly?” Of course they said no so I quit even entertaining them because if you haven’t been thru it, you don’t get to have a opinion or tell someone that it can’t be that bad and they should just get over it. ❤

Thankfully I was able to get control of my addiction before all this fentanyl came around cause I was bad and that stuff is so dangerous. I have had so many friends I grew up with that have overdosed that I lost count a long time ago. I couldnt imagine the withdrawals from fentanyl cause the withdrawal from prescription pills was already a nightmare. I used to think I would never be able to get clean but I got through it as bad as it was. Once I got clean I started to love way I felt. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night without it and i always had to have some for when I woke up cause i would wake up with withdrawals right away and you cant function without it. Addiction is a nightmare and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone. We had an epidemic 4 years ago before the Biden Administration started working with and allowing the Mexican Cartels to traffic human beings and bring untold amounts of deadly drugs into our country. A friend of mine growing up had a little sister that was 2 yrs younger. She was beautiful and came from a very good family. She wasn't into smoking or doing drugs but I remember her drinking socially at high-school parties like most teens. Well one day she wasn't feeling well and a friend offered her a xanax bar. She took half of it thinking it was okay cause she was prescribed xanax herself before. It turned out to be a counterfeit pill laced with so fentanyl that just half the pill killed her. Nobody would ever think taking 1mg of a xanax could ever kill you but she fell asleep that night and never awoke again before she was even 20 yrs old. To this day I think of her and it breaks my heart and soul knowing something so horrible happened to someone so good. Left behind 2 little sisters and 2 brothers one older and another younger. I can only imagine it destroyed the family and they will never be the same again. It couldn't have happened to a better family I think of them often and I wish them nothing but the best in life. They are putting fentanyl in everything now. Meth, cocaine, adderall, vape pens, and any counterfeit pills you can think of. They aren't just putting fentanyl in opiates anymore you are literally taking a risk when you go out and buy any street drug.

For anyone that’s wanting/trying to get clean off fent. Try to get some gabbapentin. My mother went to rehab for fent & they gave her gabbapentin & she told me that you don’t feel the symptoms at all. She said she felt completely normal as if she was sober with no symptoms. Hopefully this helps someone. It’s a tough battle but you got this! You’re future self with thank you & love you so much for doing so

The whole thing sucks there using this law to arrest addicts not going after the ppl with tons of fentanyl but the addicts the ones who are already in full addiction n suffering the most n cant stop to literally save there life 😢 life in america sucks now

What they really need to do to combat the fentanyl issue is prescribe opioids again, like roxicodone. Then taper people down from that once the fentanyl is out of your system after several drug tests show it’s gone. With fentanyl, they don’t know anything about it, how long it stays in your system as everyone is different. You can’t take suboxone for like weeks after cold turkey withdrawal, I’d prefer to be completely clean and not rely on something else. Coming off of prescription pills was much easier than coming off of this crap. I’d rather regular heroin than this. It’s impossible to be sick that long. Coming off of pills, maybe four days of sickness then you were feeling better. This society is ridiculous.

Stop comparing fentanyl withdrawal to a "terrible flu". Its nothing like a flu. The flu doesn't set your skin on fire with no flames but freeze you at the same time while liquid is pouring out of your butt. You can take several medications and feel better from a flu. There only a few meds that will stop withdrawals and its either by rx or relapse.

Before I was a heroin/opiate addict I would watch Intervention and I would be so mad at the addict for not going to treatment even though they were killing their family.. and then I became addicted. It’s the withdrawal that makes ppl avoid leaving for an intervention, there is no comparison to opiate withdrawal. None whatsoever. Freezing but sweating, crazy chills. your skin is crawling and you beat and rub ur legs together bc the RLG is so extreme. Add the insomnia w those symptoms and there is no relief by getting sleep. There is just no way to describe the absolute torture it is, physically for over a week all while ur trying to fight it long enough where u don’t use for relief and have to start all over

The worst is the restlessness - truly indescribable need to squirm and toss and turn. Like claustrophobia under the skin and deep with the body. Constantly only really hot or really cold, moment to moment. And the absolute worst is the dysphoric and bizarre states of mind, in my last one, everything I perceived had a 1980s vibe. Bizarre nightmare mindsets like that, hard to describe

This is so sad because I gained a dependency/addiction however I don’t crave them? I just get severe withdrawals. I haven’t taken any for three weeks but I’m still having yawning and chills/sweats. I don’t know how long this will last. This is from morphine. I have a slipped disk in my back and I have a lateral tear in my hip so I am not taking opiates and trying to get through this so I can deal with it naturally! Also I was put on methadone and trying to get off that is 10 times worse and the withdrawals can last months even years in some cases.
