Show of force only makes sense when you're not bluffing. Anyone with the least of strategic ability knows that what is happening in Eastern Europe was a lost war for the weaker one from the moment it started, but a senseless resistance is maintained to feed the war machine. Sacrificing hundreds of thousands in the process. Also, show of force would only be justified if we were talking abour a tit-for-tat, but most people do not understand how this started and what are the real motivators behind it. But as I mentioned last time about the point in a movie when we are not aware who started the escalation: everyone is brainwashed by the mainstream media into taking a side. We know whose side. While the truth is much more complex: this started a decade ago, when the US started surrounding the bear by infiltrating governments and placing their own people there, not just in the country now overrun. And despite an agreement made with the bear, they decided to push for a certain country to become a NATO member, right in the bear's backyard. You probably heard of the Bay of Pigs nuclear threat too: Kennedy did not hesitate a moment to threaten a nuclear war with the bear, because they were getting a bit too close for comfort. But the US now wants to do exactly what they did not allow on own turf and the bear decided that they stepped over the red line. The warmongers in the collective West that are now sacrificing millions to the war machine and to exert the US's power over its arch enemy, will never succeed in this goal because the bear has nowhere to back into. And it has all the manpower it needs and will not hesitate to sacrifice it. Every military strategist knows this. It is only the population in the West that is kept in the dark, because without political support, the war machine would no longer be financed. So they placed a second-rate comedy actor in charge that is doing whatever Washington tells him to do. It should have been obvious to anyone when seeing his high-heel lycra-wearing acts that this is not a serious statesman that can be trusted and it is blatantly obvious now as he is sending young (and old) men (and women) to die for a lost cause. The Pentagon never passed any audit in the past decades and it is no longer the administration actually deciding on wars, so they may not even care about public opinion anymore, but fact is that without public support, this just may stop at some point, through the US elections. Which is why the orange-haired candidate cannot be allowed to succeed, as he is not on board with this war. So they will stop him, either way. They tried before, they will continue trying. But even if they manage to, this conflict has no future, it will simply be an endless financing of it until only ashes remain. So the outcome is the same, the only difference is how many lives it will cost in the end. And finance the most powerful industry even more to gain even more power. As for the Asian situation, I have no clue where that is going to, because much will depend on what happens in the US in November. But for sure the fact that the allegiance of many Asian countries is tied to the strongest nation that is now politically extreme weak due to its non-existent leadership, makes for opportunities for those who want to grab power. So I do worry that things will escalate, unless the US gets is sh*t in order, soon. No matter what people think of the orange man, if he were to return, this chaos would stop, as his voters no longer stand for a global conflict that may lead to nuclear bombs falling, just so some people can get rich. Most people think that nuclear war is no option because it spells the end of humanity. Not so, I'm afraid. Tactical nukes are a thing and so is the difference between the types of bombs, both in size and type, regarding fallout, half-life of the radioactive material, etc. And as long as countries are not afraid of neighbours getting flattened back to the stone age, they will not do all in their power to stop an all-out conflict. This insanity needs to stop. For that however, people need to wake up to reality and not just parrot whatever politicians and media want them to believe.

She doesn't live in the US so I don't blame her. Rarely has there ever been a formal/sitting US president as dumb, corrupt and ignorant as trump, RARE still, who lies _DAILY_ and I do mean, _DAILY,_ just to appease his sycophants. When you listen to his speeches, he just "makes stuff up" as he goes along with NO REGARDS to facts or fiction. Just spewing nonsense and hatred and he does this in EVERY speech. I often wonder how does he get away with this shit or are Americans really this dumb? Then again, TEN% of the people in Taiwan will die for KP despite the OVERWHELMING of evidence against him. So yea, it's the same everywhere. Bottom of the barrel 10~20% of the people in any society are just fact of life.

That's a cool hike. Those ants, man.. :) They sure as hell have it easier: they just blindly follow the rules, without knowing why they do it. And no matter what obstacle comes in their way, they each sacrifice themselves for the common goal, the group. It is an instinct, they don't think about it, because they are not self aware. We humans have this pesky problem called Self Awareness. And since we have become self aware, we also see ourselves as individuals, less and less as part of a collective hive. Nobody will want to sacrifice their lives for others just to get food for example. Sure, part of the group still and there to contribute, but as individualism progresses, this collectivism declines. And the more people live for themselves only, the less socially sensitive they are. They think they deserve everything by birthright, without giving. And this creates a feeling of disconnectedness and isolation, because they no longer feel they belong to others. Life has no purpose however when you don't belong, because you start questioning why you are on this planet in the first place. This disconnectedness leads to what you are describing: they compensate their lack of purpose by clinging to superficial groupthink. Which is often filled by the most simplistic forces: politics, sports club, (clothing) brand, etc.. People have come to replace higher purposes like God and collective sacrifice with consumer goods and superficial groupthink, because those do not cost effort: it's a binary choice without sacrifice. You can hate on some other political party without lifting as much as your finger or cheer on your club with a beer in your hand, without having to actually step on that bike yourself or run those rounds in the morning to get fit. You suddenly "belong" to others and this artificial choice of belonging suddenly gives an otehrwise empty life meaning. Actually doing something for the collective is not even closely as enticing, especially if there is no instant gratification. It's a mistake of course, because true satisfaction only derives from sacrifice and the feeling of accomplishment. Your cryptic descriptions and metaphors on the other global events are spot on, a shame that most people will hardly read between the lines ;) The metaphor I use myself is that when someone enters a movie theatre to see a western and does not know when the movie started, most people are prone to judge the person shooting first, without knowing what preceded the shootout. Say they enter a classic like Once Upon a Time in the West and see Cheyenne shooting Mr Morton the railroad baron. If they sit down next to someone who does not like Cheyenne and says he shot first, then the naive arriving viewer will likely believe it and root from that point on against Cheyenne, as some villain. While Mr Morton is a capital a-hole and had it coming for destroying others' lives. The same happens with our history and politicians play the strings the way that suits them: you never get the full picture, only the part they want you to hear. And this way they can brainwash masses to follow their lead, into their death. Now, the difference with ants is that ants are genetically "programmed" to always make the best decision for the hive. If they weren't and would all do their own thing, the hive would be destroyed in no time for lack of food, temperature regulation through the venting system of the hive itself or simply because they do not stick together against intruders. We humans do no longer possess this instinctive collectivism, because we have replaced this with Culture. And our social structures force us to cooperate by appointing leaders. But these leaders have their own self interests as well, so you need to be lucky for it to work out well. I personally no longer believe in appointing leaders to do the work for us without a means for us to intervene, as it currently works in our social structures. I think that each of us is responsible for all of us. By handing over responsibility to "experts" and leaders, we shove the responsibility away from ourselves and in the process we basically become slaves to those who have an agenda. It is just too easy for any society to slip into a situation where that leader decides they want to play God. And when the rules can be bent, they sometimes really think they are a God, because they are convinced they know it better and others should abide by their terms.

Nice to see a deep thought video from you again. Great background vid as well btw, kudos for that. I think that the groupthink you describe has always been there. You have just probably reached the age where you start getting aware of the more important things in life, you start noticing these changes in society enough to care. The reason that groupthink nowadays has more impact in my opinion however, is because of technology. More specifically the available media to spread a narrative. There have always been powerful people, groups and ideas that got hold of large populations throughout the ages, be it a religion, a superstition or just local cultural traits. Same way that in South America they sacrificed people to please the gods or the way in Japanese culture people were willing to sacrifice their own lives for honour, shows that the ultimate sacrifices could be effected through a culture's traditions. But there was always a ruling class that invented these traditions, to keep the population in check, as humanity grew. And we grew fast, due to the development of our brain, compared to other animals. Which is why we could weather all natural disasters and fence off threats, due to our intelligence. The tools we developed protected us better, fed us better, so we grew into larger populations than what was still harmonious with the natural environment. As a result, urbanisation started and with it the increasing need for food, which led to more control over bigger masses by smaller groups, the "elite". This much about how we came to this point :) A constant has always been the technological evolution in this, helping the masses to survive (improved housing, clothing, food, etc.), but also granting increasing power to the elite. But until globalising started, they never had enough to rule the world, as they were not connected and could not manipulate vast areas of the world, so local kingdoms kept power. All this changed with electricity. First the cable, then telephone and the final step was radio and television: being able to push narratives right into every household, because a signal can be received virtually everywhere. And that was the point when they achieved total control. Noam Chomsky is a controversial figure and I do not agree with many of his views, but he has a great movie called Manufacturing Consent, watch it to learn about how they manipulated masses a long time ago. Getting back to your original point and why this changed tremendously since the nineties: with the arrival of the Internet, they are now able to manipulate on an individual level. Radio and TV could only transmit one message with little sophistication and when the Internet arrived, that could no longer be centralised. So those at power decided that it should be controlled by them at the source: just look at how Google has become a platform you can no longer avoid and which basically owns and controls the narrative. Absolute power can only be achieved by gaslighting people into believing that if they do not adhere to the narrative, they are outcasts. The peer pressure you describe is a natural human trait, but it used to be in small communities, to keep values. Now, all values are steered via social media. And the narrative there is steered via algorithms, along an agenda of people with extreme power. They not only influence elections, but have long term plans of how they want to keep us in submission, taking away even more freedoms and gaining full control over our health, finances and eventually thoughts. If you read Orwell 's 1984,the essence is in the ultimate goal: to gaslight you to an extent that you believe your own deception, even though consciously it makes no sense. We have arrived in an age where that is now becoming reality, if humanity does not rebel against it. More and more people are waking up to this reality, but those that want out slavery will never stop. I think the reason of the push by these globalist forces happened in 2020 is because they felt strong enough about achieving ultimate control through this freak "accident", that could force us into compliance with a lot of our natural freedoms being taken away at one go: locking us down physically, introducing a centrally controlled digital identity that can seal you off totally and had they succeeded, introducing the digital coins that is tied to your compliance. They failed at first go, but will not stop until they reach their goal. The politicians are in their pocket, the media and social media is brainwashing the masses into submission and they also own the "experts", as well as steer the economy via a pyramid structure of corporations that are in the end all owned by one giant holding. The only thing standing in their way is independent and free thinkers. People like you and me who want to ask questions, without being gagged for it. That is why censorship is now increasing. I hope they fail.
