Oviedo has the biggest hospital in Asturias, and also you can find WiFi everywhere around here. Same with Gijón, it has good medical centres and no problem with WiFi. Markets are all around in both cities so no problem with that neither :)
Hi! Thanks for an informative video! Can I ask you if Oviedo is really bad for cycling? You can't commute by bike there and you can't ride it just for fun?
There is no specific Path for cycling so you have to go on the same road with the rest of the cars. And also the city is very sloppy. But some people still do cycling, on the other hand Gijón is more adapted for cycling
Wow! So glad I clicked on your video! I am hopefully moving to Spain around the end of September/beginning of October from the US and have been researching northern cites and Oviedo was on my list. What a lovely place and the weather and outdoors ticks some of my 'must-have' boxes! It would be so cool to meet you both at some point!
Thank you very much for watching the video, we are so happy you liked it. Yes Oviedo is a great option the city is small but you have everything and you can go walking everywhere. Asturias has amazing cuisine and the landscapes are stunning. Also plenty of routes if you like hiking or going to mountains
I like the "we didn't even know this town exited until now" comment :) It is so true I'm sure...there are so many hidden treasures around the world that go largely unknown to outsiders. I stumbled across your video when researching day trips from Gijon. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It has ensured the fact that my wife and I will venture that way when we make it to Spain in 2026 (have other trips planned between now and then :)) Best of luck to the both of you on your journeys 👍
Thank you guys! I’m going to Majorca for first time in 4 weeks and you have given me some ideas of what to try 😊 food is at the heart of the people and country. I went to Thailand last year and it’s so exciting to try new things love it!!
Thank you very much to everyone for watching! We hope you enjoyed the video. Please let us know in the comments if you have any questions, suggestions or anything else you want to share with us 😊😊
My ancestors came from Asturius and I was the first of my family to return after my ancestor left for Cuba 200 years ago. Although I didn't find any family still living there (yet), it was amazing to visit and I can't wait to return with my wife & kids.
