The ruling party is CORRUPT!!! FRIENDS AND FAMILY living like kings while citizens are facing high food price and high crime rate and poor health care while they the govt can fly to the US and get treatment on taxpers bill....
The problem with Trinis of a lighter hue is that they like to congregrate, so they really dont know the wider Trinidad , they live in their own little bubble. I am of a lighter hue than the blogger? and i have never had any harrassment by police. Ok so some of us might be loud mouths but we have them all over. I have lived in the UK , in Scotland and England and loved it but when returning to Trinidad and i see those mountains !!!!! What a feeling of utter joy!!!!! We are mostly a generous loving and God fearing people. God Bless.🙏
"base load" is a marketing term and has no agreed upon definition in power engineering. 100% renewables is absolutely achievable and is reality in numerous markets all over the world. Your assumptions about your bill are also wrong. The UK, like most the rest of the world is a regulated utility market. Your utility has already rate-based numerous generation assets, plus the cost of building and maintaining transmission and distribution networks. The rate-based assets are then paid for by price hikes that the utilities propose and a public utility commission or equivalent approve. Renewables do not increase your utility bills. Source = I have a PhD in this field and work in this space for one of the largest companies on earth. I also have peer-reviewed scientific journal publications on this exact topic.
With free speech comes responsibility. The responsibility to say the correct and right thing. You can’t for instance expect to talk about Islam in a negative way, make fun of the prophet and expect no repercussions. Not going to happen. Choose your words wisely.
you might want to delve into history a bit and you'll understand how you got 'iberian' results but you are missing south american results... Who do you think populated south america? Where did all those Spanish speaking people come from? :D
This is very true about Trini, they always know it all, some of the things you mention is true,as a Trinidadian who left over 50 plus years ,levied in England for many years and now live in Canada,we as Trinidadian do not appreciate our beautiful culture. My daughter loves to hear stores about when I was growing up,even though I came from a very strict home.❤❤
Is this the same hammer? Where can I get a good one. Silver or some alloy that ring easily tarnish. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UVnBBuTrr48.html
Hi , really enjoyed your video was also surprised of the kind of unfortunate experiences you when living in TnT. I too have been a uk resident for number of years returning home done some small scale property projects and believe me it wasn't the easiest thing ive done. But im staying positive for the future.
@@BrookPotterUk Awesome good to hear. Me and my partner are looking to move from England. Do the Welsh still dislike anyone who isn’t or doesn’t speak Welsh! I know many years ago it was a thing but I’m guessing that may of died off now ?
I would rather be ashamed with a cross in church children and young people are abused thor was actually a god of farmers who should provide protection and good harvests and not a god of war that is odin unfortunately many rights carry the symbol sorry for my bad english 🤘🏻
I just saw your Chanel. I 'm a Trini. I left when I was a teenager. I went to China. Then Hong Kong was a successful model. The only black person among Chinese. I was a success. I married a European. I lived all over Asia. Europe speak three languages. I lived in South America. I 've been back maybe three times. My brother is still there. I had a good life growing up in Trinidad. We still own the sane property I have mixed race kid. My family loved my European husband. Real Trinis are good people. Let it roll off your back. Be Blessed
My whole family is from Trinidad. My mom and stepfather left Tunapuna Trinidad in 1973 because there were no jobs in those days. They both established a working life for themselves in Queens Village NY till they died in 2006 and 2017🙏Trinidad now is very dangerous. My father's house was broken into at Arima La Horquetta. My father lives in Canada for many years and he would never go back to Trinidad to live.
@BrookPotterUk T&T is Fuqed. If you are not rich rich like the elites, you are a wage slave but more Slave than wage if you understand where I'm coming from
I took that same test and got really different results, I got 5/5 on empathy and compassion, a 4/4 on narcissism and machiavellianism and a 2.5/5 on psychopathy and altruism
I left Trinidad when I was about 17 years old. My mother decided to send me to Canada, I already had an uncle and aunt living out there. I was born and grew up in Couva, county Caroni. I understood very well why my mother shipped me out to Canada. I was by nature a trouble maker, of the worse type. I use to get up to some real nastiness. One time I remembered, down by railway road Couva, pushing my little step brother Johnnie, into the biggest picka-bush I ever seen. He was only about 7 at the time. Talk about bawl, he was bawling all the way to De Gannes street. I was born wicked. In a way, after all those years living in Canada, I still retained that wickedness. I am grateful I had the opportunity to leave Trinidad, especially Couva, so many narrow-minded, small-village people. The only time I miss Trinidad is when it's wintertime in Canada.
What's the best area in the UK to source Trini food please? Have a Trini husband and there's nothing where we live!!!!!! Great video - good conversation starter!! 🙂Thank you 🌻
London has countless Trinidadian and Caribbean restaurants. There are several online shops also. Best join a Facebook group like "trinisinlondon" and they can guide you. Also check out the Trinidad and Tobago association UK, they always have food events.
My family and I moved to Canada in 1990 and I still remember that day like it was yesterday. My parents were retired primary school teachers, my dad was a primary school principal, I was fresh out of secondary school. My sister had a job at the TDSB and my brother was going to college on a student visa. I eventually went to college, I did Early Childhood Education and then Travel Counselling. I worked for a while in Travel, but when things took a downward turn, I was one of the many casualties due to downsizing. Today I work as an Industrial Cleaner. I love visiting my family in T&T and I love spending time in Tobago (great place to decompress and the beaches are pristine). I would like to eventually go back to Trinidad and Tobago once I retire, because the winters here are brutal at times and who wants to be stuck inside for 3 or 4 months a year?
I moved to Canada at the age of 20 and it was definitely a culture shock, but I do agree, the KFC in Trinidad is better, but my preference was Royal Castle, especially with the crinkly fries. When I started putting ketchup, mustard and pepper sauce on the KFC here, people thought I was mad. I haven't had mango chow in years. My favourite drinks are Peardrax and the Sorrel Carib Shandy. In Scarborough there are a lot of West Indians and you can get it at any West Indian supermarket, but out here in Waterloo Region, I have yet to find them. You can get Peardrax at Walmart, but the Shandy, only certain Beer Stores carry them. I love my doubles and I can get that, again when I visit my family in Scarborough.
It delights me to see a fellow Trinidadian who adopts a similar ideology to mine ( social libertarian )(Seemingly something rare these days). Slightly right of center. Cheers!
Racial stereotyping is still going on in Trinidad. If you're Indian, you must be a Hindu with a Hindu name and have a certain mindset, eg allyuh Indian like to fight for land. If you're White, you must be rich etc. I believe it has to do with a lack of intelligence. Your perspective reminds me of VS Naipaul who is hated by some in Trinidad for speaking the truth as he sees it. And, yes, some Trinis believe they own this island and are quick to tell you to leave if you have a different voice. Your individually is stifled and you're expected to merge into some kind of nauseating patriotism. Genius is discouraged and mediocrity encouraged.
