Hi, when making these, do threads change the stiffness of these? Like fireline will make it stiff and suitable for keychains while others don't? I'm about to buy thread and want to avoid fireline since it's expensive, unless it's the most suitable for what you made. What thread would you recommend for stiffer charms like what you made, but not that expensive?
I'm gonna take you forever. You should clip it on a make your make s.Hift, Jeff, what's some big jingle blocks and put a clip on each end and clip it.And then you can work better with it.The way you're doing it's gonna take you forever
Back when I was dyeing yarn more regularly (lots of life happened and sales tanked, whatev. It's fine.) I was having a hard time getting a good solid color. I asked a few of the other local dyers that our shop carried and no one wanted to help me (trade secrets blah blah blah) until I asked one person who did primarily solids and did them well and she told me to add the same amount of non-iodized salt as citric acid and boom: solid colors. It was amazing and I was so grateful to her.
It's a tradition in my family (and I know many US families) to put the tree up and start decorating for Christmas after Thanksgiving dinner. I also keep my tree up until almost Spring because the lights make me so happy.

I didn't understand this loom's purpose until I saw it in action. It creates a 'shed', so removes the hard work of picking out which threads to go under and over. Natural that it would have been invented in Lancashire, I suppose!
So sorry. I like ethical fair trade yarn. Where do you get your wool and textiles from. Ps used to use acrylic yarn from charity amd pound shops when i was broke. Now getting back to work as a doctor after a few years off sick so have orvwill have more dispoable income soon. I like recycled acrylic. Katia fair cotton is nice. So is manos del Uruguay ( i think thats its name?) and knit pro symphonie yarns. West Yorkshire yarn spinners is good. Is your wool ethically reared? Or just bought from the open market? I know you are only a small producer so just asking?
