This is for the RC enthusiast with a RC addict in mind., My 40 years of motocross and turning wrenches, sense i was a kid, this hobby is right up my alley. I been driving RC cars for about 3.5 years. . If there is a question or comments positive or negative please feel free to ask me, I will give you the best answer. If i don't know, i won't, steer you in the wrong directions. Thank You and Have Fun
Pimping. lol. Ya that WAS... a good spot to go. i learned my way around the rc's at this park. trucks and drones. But I ran across a couple cry babies about the truck on there precious dirt. and i moved back to my old stomping grounds. turns out the old BMX track is even better. i'm the only one that know about this new spot. so far no cry babies. lol Have fun
yes it does. but it cost me about as much as a 6S Kraton or Outcast EXB. and some crafty workmanship. I think i have an original. prob only one out there. thanks for the comment, always welcome... lol have Fun
i put the commment in the wrong place, now i see what i did. lol this what i meant. I got them from Amazon. The next set I'll buy will be stiffer strings. Now, mind you I put them on because I launch over 100'. And trying to have less body slap and catch the weight of the car from bottoming out. I thought it was going to be have shitty handling driving it. But as I write this I would almost say it helps the handling. I'm going to pay more attention if what I said was right. Thanks for the question and. Comments. The spring on Amazon was: uxcell Compression Spring - 1.2mm Wire Dia , 18mm OD , 50mm Free Length Spring Steel Extension Spring,Black,20Pcs I'm not sure if it is still the right move. But I haven't had a reason to remove them... Have fun.
WHY YES IT IS. I BEEN WONDERING WHEN SOMEONE WAS GOING TO SAY THAT. I JUST FOUND OUT IM THE ONLY RC DRIVER THAT GOES THERE. AND THEY JUST LEVELED OUT AND MADE MORE JUMPS. MADE THEM WIDER. ..I'LL TELL YA I HIT A GOLD MIND TO FIND THIS PLACE TO BASH HERE. HAVE FUN. ps. dammit i didnt realize the cap button was on. lol. not yelling lmao.. have fun
i notice the last set of RPM arms i bought they changed there mold and put a section to put droop screws on. yaaa.. i haven't had the issues yet but i was going to buy or make limiting straps. i been wanting to start putting them on my rigs . i think its a better way of limiting the swing arm from going to far and break more parts. thanks for the comment alway want to be helpful in this hobby. good luck but most importantly... have fun.
thanks for the comment. i have done 5-6 just on the e6000 and concrete tape. and half a dozen trying different scenarios and seen very little delamination. I thought the same thing. but the system i have done its works perty tight. a little on the contact points but that is whittled and cut away if it does. i think most of mine are over a year old and still look great. thank. and have a terrific day.
Nice vid! I love to see what other people are doing and thinking outside the box. The double chassis is a cool idea how long has it been set up like that?
thanks for watchin. i did the chassis about a year ago. and that rig has taken a beating. i break arms more than anything. it like it has to have a weakness. and there is. but the chassis is like unbendable. kinda thinking like a leaf spring on a car. thanks have Fun
That advice u gave on screws which i assume u meant "HEX" screws imo isnt useless. I learneds from it, and I am grateful u covered that. I have many issues with bent and broken "driveshafts" but every truck has its "weakest link". I have gotten frustrated with the lack availability of replacement parts from companies outside USA. Hence I usually opt to collect Arrma or Traxxas. It all depends. Great video. TY n happy trails.
i appreciate your checking out the channel. it sucks not being able to get parts. i would assume you looked at my vid about the driveshafts' popping out. the drive shafts are to short. removing the red ring and washers help it from popping out. i went to the extremes and ground off about a 1.5 mm off the ends where the red ring was. i have a video explaining this.; I been turning wrenches all my life, even got to turn wrenches with a couple professional mechanic from back in my motocross days.... The videos... well... not so much. i been doing this hobby for 4-5 years, but making a video is like virgin territory for me. Im hoping they will get better as time goes by. I hope you get parts service gets better with time for you. Have Fun ps. yes hex screws. lol
We are just about to rebuild the front diff on our notorious to replace the diff cups hopping that would stop the driveshafts from popping out. I'm going to remove the washer and red cap while I'm in there! I'm glad this video popped up! We are also going to try the rubber piece in the cups on the 6s Typhon. Great tips!
i found that the more the bearing and parts wears, out it makes the problem come back . (only on 60 foot +) launches it popped out. i went to the extreme and ground off another 1.0-1.5mm of the end of the arm.. where the red ring was. glad it helped you out. Have Fun
oh really. it is the original heatsink wedge and pried and taped onto get it under the top rail bar? i thought i was original. lol you have the 1100kv hobbywing?
@@readeracingRC Indeed I do, I pried it open a bit so it covers the motor. I also shaved the sides down a bit so I could get it over the top rail bar, then used two zip ties to the motor. I also have the stock fan housing, I replaced the stock fans with Rocket Fans, they fit in perfectly.
Hells Ya. true musicians... the music blow my video's out of the mud. the best one is Red Barchetta. and only fits jumping the cars. if your a true Rush Fan you would know that the barchetta is a flying car he takes out for illegal sunday ride into the countryside with the internal combustion engine which are outlawed a hundred years from now. only Neil could write something like this. Have Fun
I watch a lot of Rc videos, your sends are some of the best i have ever seen whoa. How are those Backflips on the EXB, are they a tad to heavy? I have some and I'm considering installing them on my EXB 6S.
Thank you for the kind words about the jumps. been practicing quite a bit. It all started with the mini Maxx. Racing motocross has gave me an advantage of throttle control, especially launching them on and off the ramp. I like the backflip, I also like the stock ones too. But the way i see it, you have to buy them in pairs. I line most of my trucks with BackFlips, just because the the finance reason. There is always a spares. and not having an odd amount of different W/T laying around. good luck but most importantly... Have Fun
My bad... I missed it by a mile. jesus, I had the Outcast on my mind and i put write up with it, instead of the Xmaxx. thanks. as i think about it, i didnt go to bed last night. I marathoned it so i could bash this morning before is started raining again. (which it is ) have fun
@@StraitJacketRC It always brings your heart rate up launching the big black rig then the green pickle. alway more excitement to a bash session. Have Fun
Thanks for the video! I’m a nub and just did the gorilla tape on my K4S. I think your method looks great and a lot easier. I’m trying this on my next shell.
yes. i think is close to a basher body... (well maybe not quiet) but very durable. the brush is what makes it so much easier. think i took 1.5 tubes of E6000. but well worth it. the first layer can be roughly done, it's the 2nd layer that does it. good luck, and don't get frustrated. it took me a while to get it right, but now i can do any... xmaxx was tricker..lol
wow. i don't see it on amazon anymore. but ebay item number 11563344458. called gpm steel transition input shaft cush drive 7786. shit and it $37 now.. jeeeeze. at the time it wasn't more than $20. have fan
And another tip is to run a couple of the bolts holding that plastic cover on... all the way through and nut em. But yeah, that end piece block is a no brainer, eh?
Both steering arms have to be equal length. mine are 123mm from screw hole to screw hole. This may not be the same for you, because i have a set of rear turnbuckles on the front. it took some doing but now i have 5mm wide instead of the 3mm stock ones. much stronger. other than that i m not sure if i answered your question. but having 2 or 3 degrees toe out for better steering capabilities.
I totally agree with you I have an Xmaxx and Outcast 8s no problems with the diffs on the Outcast, Xmaxx tons of problem I changed the bulkhead and used an aluminum cover no problems since
absolutely. it's a week point,, there is way to many places for it to flex. which is ok i guess,... but the last place you want weakness is exactly at that point. at least the aluminum gives it more rigitray have fun
you using the new RPM wing mount. i think i have 4 of them mounted. and never broke one sense. mounts from the under skid plate to the wing. perty nice. have fun
@@mikejacobs8294 oh shit. I don't think the new EXB RTR is that way. The new RTR has a totally different set up. I thought you were talking about the older version. My Bad
@readeracing750 no problem. It is a totally different design and being so new, nobody has come out with a replacement yet. So I'll continue to bash and wait for Arrma or anybody to make the part. Thanks for responding..
ya it sure makes a berdon on my hobby. lol but to my surprise i wake up and it's snowing. i guess i best get out there and seize the snow bashing. have fun
Awesome vid! Thats was the issue I was commenting about in your kraton vid I believe. I started putting rubber in both ends of the axle and drive cups so it can’t slid too far. I found it to work better than the o rings. But if the cups are worn, ya, it’s worse. I’ve never had a tlr. The old school typhons are great for massive sends. I hope you get her back going again soon! Loosing an axle is the worst! It’s so unnecessary! I have one in my driveway I still need to find lol. Hope all is good bud! I subbed! Keep it up dude!🤘👊💪
I got ya covered. subed ya... it's the first drive with the bike to really appreciate it. so much different than a 4 wheeler. taking some practice to get used to it. lol Have Fun
Oh, on the felony and cars with that set up, cut a flat piece of rubber and put it inside both ends of the axle carriers to take up the slack. It’s from the hub starting to wear on the diff side. Doesn’t take much. It’s been a while, but it works. Thanks again.
by putting the rubber pieces in the cup, you mean the same idea as putting the ARA311028 spacers. Right? Personally im not sure why they put the red rings on in the first place. i have never or sean anyone that broke a arm at the end of it. by the hinge pin ya. but not the wheel end. nice chat speedo man, i keep hearing your name about this hobby.
@@readeracingRC I’m like an old retired name lol. I overbuild things that have no reason to exist lol. I use old tire and cut it in circles in a pinch on both ends on the typhon and 6 s road cars. I’m a retired street bike stunt rider that got into the hobby. I’m friends with some guys you may know, maybe that’s why you may have heard my name. I apologize, I was looking for fix for the street cars I forgot I already knew about. But your video is so important! That’s a great pointer and needs to be known about. Thank you for showing people. That’s what the community is about buddy, supporting each other and having fun. Great job! 🤘🏆
@@SpeedSyko thats some funny shit right there. im an retired motocross racer of like 30-40 years. i was flying drones and seen some kids with RC rigs and a light bulb went off and off i went. this is like racing but the crashes are quite painless. ill have to catch up on some of your vids for reference's. lol Have Fun
The red ring as you call it, reinforces the end of the arm from breaking apart . The problem is you need to adjust the droop screw to stop over extension of your shocks and pulling the dog bone out. Edit : And I came back to do an edit. My edit is I'm not being an ahole just stating a fact.
You set your droop screws to set the arm from dropping to far and breaking the piston. T he driveshaft is to short. it need to be about 1.5mm longer. they didnt take into account when they added the red ring. i have never seen an end blow out with or without the red ring. i think it was a bling to make it look better. but that my take on it.
And they didnt fix the problem even in the latest version if the 6S line. they made it look like they fix the issues by beefing up the drive shafts, but in fact the driveshafts are still the same length and the drive cups. lol oh well.
Yep! You are correct! Learn the hard way driving it at the beach and it killed the Gyro Motor. Had I not checked it multiple times my receiver would have been toast too as well as my ESC. 😂
@@readeracingRCI didn’t have issues until I drove it through water where the tide comes in and I couldn’t help my self. I think salt water on any RC is not good. If you keep it in the sand you should be fine. The gap between the crash plate will collect everything including grass to the point your taking it apart bc the ESC fan will get clogged. If you do run it through water I would suggest covering that part.
I removed the red spacer from my Fireteam, and the washers on the other arm, then redid my toe adjustments and its fine now, you also can buy the 1mm longer driveshafts for the front, but i took the cheap fix...I.forget who makes the plus 1 driveshafts....
@@readeracingRCI agree take the cheap route cause stock driveshafts are fine once you take that spacer/washer off the arms.....by the way I think M2C makes the plus 1mm driveshafts for Arrma!!!
