I post mostly freshwater fishing and small game hunting videos, but I might post some videos of my foraging, predator hunting, waterfowl hunting, big game hunting, trapping, or other adventures. I might start posting some hunting- or fishing-related how-to videos, if you have some requests.
Small game hunting videos: I usually hunt for ruffed grouse, woodcock, pheasant, turkey, cottontail rabbit, snowshoe hare, gray squirrel, red squirrel, bullfrogs, leopard frogs, and green frogs.
Fishing videos: I usually fish for walleye, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, northern pike, chain pickerel, tiger musky, musky, channel catfish, brown bullhead, yellow perch, black crappie, white crappie, bluegill, pumpkinseed sunfish, rock bass, brook trout, brown trout, rainbow trout, common carp, white sucker, and fallfish.
I thoroughly enjoy the alarm clock and the super fake wake up scene. Very nostalgic. Now we need to reinstate Google Meet get togethers. (“There’s someone behind you” and the lava lamp.)
Lol. Was talking to a friend and reminiscing our youth. I actually youtubed macaroni and minnows to see if anyone else did it. Long story short, we got really drunk at a friend's cabin a few decades ago and couldn't drive to the store. The only thing he had there was a few packs of ramen, macaroni, and noodles. But he had plenty of crawdad traps. So we set a few out and caught a ton of minnows using ramen. Then he boiled the macaroni while I grilled the minnows. We had no oil, so we had to grill instead of fry. Honestly, it wasnt bad at all. And we flavored everything with ramen pqcket spices because we didnt have anything else. Lol thanks for the video.
Those bullhead hauls always make me jealous. I'm down in Nashville, Tennessee and I LOVE variety. A few times now I fished small clear streams at night with dead bait and caught one or two yellow bullheads in a pool. Otherwise, every single attempt I have made to target them in any environment has failed. Still no black or brown bullheads. I'm forced to conclude that the three species are simply not present in high population densities anywhere near me....but I hope I'm wrong.
Nice touch on the video. Talked to you briefly one evening when you were coming out, it was good seeing you. We had the same subtle bites on slip sinker rigs. We fished mostly at night and had a great spring with lots of fish. The spring bullhead fishing might be my favorite. Hope you've been able to get out bass fishing, we've been doing well.
Nice to see you getting back out there, Mister Galati! I mean this in the kindest way possible, but you do NOT sound good. You should really see if you can take care of your body better, because it really hurts to hear somone as cool as you struggling so hard to breathe. Take care, man. Please.
Creek chubs AREN'T suckers or bottom-feeders. Despite them being categorized as "carps and minnows", they are a predatory and omnivorous fish. Their mouth is huge and forward-facing for a reason. Eat whatever they can, but not scavenge unless necessary. Creek chubs have a bad rap because they're listed as carps and minnows. However, that's not true. They're a clean fish, but as with any fish, you must be SURE of the waters they come from. Rural creeks and rivers that have septic tanks and leech beds draining into them aren't good. I live on a small river where most septic systems drain into. It's ruined. Many deeply rural communities do not have a city sewer, so a septic system and leech bed drains into the local watershed.
