Thank you very much for your honest review. What device do you reccommend to be used during a business dinner in which I just want to get a general idea of the topic being discussed?
This company is notorious for it's half backed devices. They sell you on the potential of the device and what it can do but in the end everyone is throwing money out to a company without getting to test the devices for themselves. By the time you realize you ordered an expensive paperweight it's too late.
This product is still in the RAW... Too many issues with connectivity and slow speeds, cannot talk on the phone unless the person on the other end has the same device and these devices must make the connectivity on the call, UKRAINIAN (Largest European Country) Language is not supported for offline use. For languages that are supported for both online and offline use, translate much differently in modes. waste of money, product needs much refinement. It's really too bad because there is a great need for SEAMLESS offline use. :(
you have won hundreds and even thousands of prayers of gratitude to God for you! Thank you for your honest and wonderful review. Each viewer made his own choice after watching. Tell me, do the device and other devices of this company work in offline mode, without Wi-Fi or the Internet? Do they give out something or are they useless without Wi-Fi? Thank you.
@@LinhNgo-qk1yg what I’ll say is it’s already packed up and waiting to be returned. I decided to get the T1 and the WT2. The T1 will be mostly for traveling, and a WT2 will be for talking with relatives I know where we don’t speak the same language. Both of these I’ve purchased have a release date of 2023. Some of them had earlier release dates. I don’t know what the differences are. As far as The X1 goes, I didn’t know it needed to be connected to an Internet source for it to work at its best. I wanted this to be my all in one device. I have no idea why they didn’t put connectivity in this device that probably had room just like the smaller T1. I tried listening mode with the TV, and with phone calls, I thought it did ok, but not perfect. But acceptable. That’s not what I would mainly use for, but it may be perfect for going to church with extended family. I don’t haven’t use the one on one feature, I have faith that feature would be OK. I tried the off-line translation with the listening mode, and nothing translated. I was even on a phone call with support while they gave me some troubleshooting tips, I did record the phone call while communicating with them, but never translated the language. You only get to use two options with off-line mode. That was mostly my deal breaker. Ask, and go was one of my main points for getting it. They could’ve done better with the ear buds on the same side as the charging port. When you plug it in to charge it, it automatically eject that earbuds. I would expect something different. I think this device does well being inside with constant connectivity compared to traveling on the go. Yes, you can hook it up to a hotspot, but sometimes I might need an instant, Take it out, and use it, instead of open my phone, turn on hotspot, connect to the device, then use. It does feel good in the hands. I’ll definitely give them that. They need a device that is similar to this but with a smaller footprint, but would connectivity like the T1 for in the go, or develop some earbuds to connect to the T1, or allow the WT2 earbuds connect to the T1. Basically they need to combine a T1 WTT into one device so you have options. Maybe you can just use the device by itself, or use the earbuds. In my case, I had to buy two different products, for two different scenarios.
Thanks for the review! My RU-vid channel was recently approached by Timekettle to potentially do a collab with them. This collab is still in the initial phases but I was interested to hear other people's thoughts. Sounds like the features I was hoping for are still not optimized. While my Japanese is pretty good, I'd like to be able to use this in Japan to follow something like a speech or meeting. I'd also need to promote the product on my channel, but I'm not the type of person who can promote something I don't genuinely believe in. Again, thanks for the review.
Hey Linh, is the one on one mode at least fast enough to where the awkward pauses are brought to a minimum? Have you found any alternatives for professional use? There seems to be so much research and new software AI tech available to make such a device possible... It seems like they still don't exist, unfortunately.
Interesting point. So the device is marketed with the “AI” in the name but there does not appear to be any AI to it. I suspect hardware limitations on a device that small are a possible reason. The One on One mode was truly atrocious. Again I suspect the hardware (earbuds) to be limited in sensitivity to pick up speech in just about any typical use setting.
