OMG... finally... after searching forever... I have found it... paul guilbert made a mistake! I was beginning to think he was a robot from the future sent back in time to play guitar and fight ninjas...
Thank you for this excellent video...enjoy watching it over and over...Jon's voice absolutly wonderful....And I can see myself( in red) in diamond circle just behind Jon...I enjoyed soooooooooooo much! The concert was priceless!
@metallo1992 Davvero bello.
@virtueorvice I personally think that Paul Gilbert is maybe the best improvisational rock guitarist (Andy Timmons is awesome too.) Given that, I still think that there are a lot of jazz players who are better improvisers. But Paul is one of the few who can trade licks without looking inexperienced in comparison to a fusion guy like Greg. Greg and Paul are actually my two favorite guitarists
@Izzyvoice I bet Paul has some amazing tone too, but we just can't hear it well on this video. It's not necessarily that volume = tone, but it is true that no volume = no tone.
@srvgravesdime Infact you can hear Paul say that there was too much distortion in the beginning of the video!!! However you're right Greg had a great ton and volume and the solo was amazing!!!
To be fair, I think Howe's got a lot of volume (at least from our point of view in this video) on Gilbert. With that volume comes that searing tone for the solo.
