Interesting times now too, not just in 1989. Nagorno-Karabakh, right afterwards problems in the Middle East and maybe after that something else happens and all on the backdrop of the US starting an economic war on China to try to stop China from becoming the largest economy in the world - and it's not about power or control, it's about social status. And at the same time the world is bound to change radically due to artificial intelligence. And to make it more fun, Western capitalism is not working anymore, there is no real competition, no innovation anymore - that''s why China is ahead in new industries like solar, batteries, electric cars, its capitalism is more functional as the government doesn't take orders from corporations. There is also Ukraine and, you know, Russia has been torturing everyone around them for hundreds of years, they are imperialist, they want to expand and do so through military force. That's why Europe is supporting Ukraine so strongly, because it's not about just Ukraine, it's also about the next 20 countries Russia might invade if it gains anything from this war. The next decades are gonna be interesting, radically so in many ways. With robots being smarter, faster, cheaper than humans, we won't need an economy, we won't need or be able to work anymore, humanity can escape materialism. Everything changes. And if we'll have artificial brains, humans become immortal. Science will progress at an incredible pace. And then the politics, the balance of power in the world might change. We colonize other planets.
Bucharest used to be called Little Paris back in the day, between the 2 world wars but most of those buildings have been demolished during the communist times. You can try to find pictures maybe from that era. And NIxon visited Romania because the West had hopes they can work with Romania, after Romania strongly opposed the invasion of Chechoslovakia in 1968.
@@travelwithmochi Romania has a lot of mountains and hills and the nature is better preserved than in most of Europe - Europe modernized everything too much and nature has suffered. There are also lakes, waterfalls, caves, springs (lots of mineral water and plenty of thermal springs). There is the Danube Delta too, in the summer there are some 300 species of birds there and some birds come from as far as China and Mongolia on their way to Africa. Also, urbanization is relatively low in Romania so the countryside life is a very important part of the county. Rural also helps preserve the culture, the traditions and brings people closer to nature. And when you try Romanian food, also try soups, there are more soups than in many cultures as the standard lunch is first a soup, then a main dish and then dessert but that one is kinda optional. Oh and do visit churches, in Europe they are always main destinations and in Romania more than 20 churches are Unesco world heritage sites.
The lion is holding plastic in his mouth, and I expected him to hunt the buffalo 😂😂😂 I think those lions are well fed because they are chubby 😋 anyways great job 👏
