How I regret that he retired from F1 racing... I was rooting for Mika - I was worried when he left, but I am so glad that he recommended Kimi - the fastest driver in the last couple of decades. Now there are no fast Finns in F1, there is no one to root for... If only Kimi and Seba were in Audi😁
Those who have only seen Kimi in videos and whatnot will never know how much Kimi actually talks in person, when he's enjoying himself or not being surrounded by reporters and paparazzi. He's actually very talkative and likes to talk about pretty much anything *but* work related stuff (which in his case means racing). Meanwhile Häkkinen is the kind of a person who cannot stop joking around - to him, laughs are important. He's a super expressive person. Then there's Salo, who is a bit of an introvert, you need to get him comfortable at first and he'll start talking about pretty much anything - he loves to talk about his youth, cars and give tips regarding racing. Bottas... I have no idea. I've never even seen him IRL.
It's good that Kimi didn't have passion for racing because otherwise the other drivers wouldn't stand a chance. He would just dominate every race, which would be boring.
His personality is one thing, but his skill as a driver was absolutely ridiculous too. He entered F1 after only 23 races in Formula Ford / Formula Renault, which as far as I'm aware is basically unheard of. 23 races in an open-wheeler and then landing in Sauber, beating the existing driver's (Deniz) times by a good chunk after like a day of practice, during tests... Absolutely incredible talent, walked into the sport and became a world champion after such a small amount of experience. This is why people need to love Kimi Räikkönen, and the fact that he's so humble and just loves the sport SO MUCH makes him that much more loveable.
Finnish people talk non-stop and loud when drunk.. But seems old understanding that Finnish like not to be spoken to, is changing too. They drink to the brink.
kimi is a rockstar of f1. and he found some ruski friends while being drunk in Petersburg, what can be cooler than that xD and he always looks so talkative to his friends and other fellow drivers, but not to journalists, he hates journalists. well maybe except top gear. the only time i didnt like him was when he accidentally drove over on his team member and didnt even check if he was ok or not...
You know, I bet if it were anyone else who went to their boat to start drinking with friends after a DNF, they'd probably get in trouble. It's just so typical of Kimi to do it that I bet everyone was just like "Yea that's expected".
