Funny! Last week I did that with a Prestone engine flush and my results were disappointing. The active ingredient was citric acid. The solution was very weak. Next attempt will be two coolaid packets and a few hours of driving to get it working well.
Citric acid eats aluminium and therefore not applicable for circulating in the cooling system of a car. For starters, the radiator is made out of aluminium, most engine casing is made out of aluminium.
Thanks for the comment! Citric acid cleans aluminum parts well and does not corrode them. It is important, of course, after washing to thoroughly wash away any remaining citric acid from the car’s engine.
What is the proper safe ratio for a solution ? By Safe I mean, stupid German radiator made of plastic, all coolant flanges to engine are plastic, thermostat housing is hardened plastic! everything melts, radiator can develop a leak.
Acid wont dissolve those plastics. Just be mindful of not leaving citric asid into your system for really long period of times. As far as i'm concerned, radiator flushing stuff you can buy from store are acid based. That's why they aren't recommended to be left into the system for too long.
Thanks for the comment! Don’t worry, citric acid for 15 minutes will not harm the engine. It is important to then wash it thoroughly from the engine. Take 5 liters of distilled water and dilute 100-150 g of citric acid in it. To completely dissolve the acid, you can warm the water a little.
@@DIYnowords radiator developed a leak, and so did the main coolant line (some steel or aluminium) which runs around the engine block. I added radiator sealant so far its holding. Radiator is shot and so is that main flange.
@@DIYnowords Я раньше тоже так думал... Открою секрет - Добавь немного не разведенного и опалесценция пропадет, будет как слеза, главное что бы было чуть больше 40%.
@@user-lz5cu6ct5n Мутный получается из крахмалосодержащих продуктов зерно, картофель и тгд. 2 перегон беру до 45 % в струе. Остальное до 5%+- на потом. И развожу до 45% Сахар мути не даёт. Кувшин барьер помогает на ура. С ув. Михаил.

Добре работиш, но аз по-бързо ще я измажа тази тераса отколкото да си играя така. Също така за по-завършен вид ако сложиш и малко акрилче на ъгълчетата да не се вижда фугата ще стане топ. Успех на канала, има какво да покажеш на хората.
