Women should not catheterize men as a retired nurse I found my fellow females to be rough and then make jokes about the man or his penis after completing the task out of ear shot of the patient.
You're all over these videos for some reason. It's not "disgusting" its medical care. If you want a male nurse, ask for one and the hospital will try to provide based on available staff.
What an appalling fail 😳 First major issue is if this was a real patient you have just committed indecent assault because you did NOT obtain informed consent from them. The other major fail is you have just caused major trauma on the prostate. It’s not enough to stop pushing in the catheter as soon as you see urine coming out as the balloon is still within the urethra/prostate. Once urine starts to flow you must continue further in to ensure the balloon is within the bladder. No wonder there was resistance. If you get resistance like that there is a reason for it and to just keep trying to force the balloon to inflate while it’s obviously not in the bladder is absolute madness. Someone needs to teach you correctly how to do this procedure.🤦
1. This is a nursing student PRACTICE VIDEO. The patient cannot talk back and trust me, it's awkward as fuck to have a pretend relational conversation with the patient. In these videos, consent is presumed. This is a mannequin. 2. While you are correct, mannequins are not perfect and lab equipment is not either. We don't get top-notch stuff. So, definitely not an "appalling fail" Charlie. Very dramatic. You're not her instructor, f*** off.
Agree women love doing this to men as a retired nurse most of them jumped to do it and took three others with her so she can laugh about at coffee break
How sad the patient was not ask if he was comfortable with a female doing this. Nurse has no sensitivity to the patients modestly, as exposed while the equipment was being opened. Patient was left naked while others in the room could see. Again where are the male nurses or male Dr's??
LMAO dude, we are REQUIRED to practice on male and female patients. Just because you are not comfortable a women giving you a catheter, which is fine, doesn't mean everyone cares about the gender of their provider. This is a practice video to show she can perform the steps, not a real situation where you can shut a door away from other patients, talk to the patient and ensure they're comfortable, etc. So many angry men on these videos. Leave her alone.
Again another female doing a male procedure. Did not ask if he was OK with a female. Sad thing is that that hospital and clinics do not want male nurses and technicians. A male patient is nothing more than a object, or a number.
@@willi21111 you normally come into videos of catheterization meant for nursing students so you can say "thank God I haven't been catheterized"? Do you have a job?
@@miamarvel616 This may be too difficult for you but I am interested in many things. I don't know if there's money on the street where you live? I work for my own living.
Male modesty does not exist for medical personnel. They forget men are rarely in hospital until prostatectomy problems unlike women who are on stirrups more times than most cowboys. We are not trained to be naked with legs spread and instruments shoved up us regularly
I think these should only be placed by males not females. It is inappropriate. Same for female cath insertions unless it is a physician they should be inserted by same-sex medical personnel. 4O years ago at my first hospital, male foley catheters were inserted by male OR techs.
Sorry, but a little gel on it and shoved in without anesthesia, that's not how you do it with male patients! So it is done painlessly : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-M5XTpbSTi1w.html
No way should a woman be performing this on a male.you should have asked if he was comfortable with a woman doing this or would he prefer a male nurse .I would be embarrassed and feel humiliated by this being done to me by a female
Then never get seriously ill, because in a hospital are up to 70% nurses! What the heck, I would always prefer a nurse, they do it much more delicately! And you need to grow up your behavior is childish!
@kooosssooo Why is that? I know there are many more female nurses than male nurses but with such an intimate procedure I think males should have the choice.
@@montyburnsgaming3609 If male staff is present, you can of course choose. But if you are operated and after anesthesia a catheter has to be placed, do you seriously believe that attention is paid to who places it, you are no longer conscious anyway. And one thing you have to remember, privacy cannot always be respected, especially when intimate areas have to be treated, that's a fact! Happy healthy new year
Why would any female nurse want to or think it would be appropriate to insert or remove a urinary catheter from a male? Hey hun, what you do at work today? I held another man's schlong...
