Real. Business. English. I'm here to help millions of people like you, be more successful in business.
I love business and I love helping people. I've got an MBA and a Law Degree plus more than 35 years of real business experience in the United States, including being a founder and CEO of multiple companies.
I'm not a teacher and I don't do grammar. I do business.
After spending years as an executive business English coach helping international CEOs communicate confidently in English, I'm here now to help all business professionals be more successful and happier.
I know exactly what it takes to become a confident communicator in English.
The key to becoming confident communicating in business English is to speak and listen more.
You will see English subtitles in every video I make, along with a full transcript. I do this for a reason.
A great method for you to improve is to listen to me and then repeat what I say out loud until you are confident.
I think I should start my freelancing career in copywriting. Because you said native speakers do not care about our mistakes in the online meeting. I am good at writing, but not at speaking. I speak as I explain my point of view to the next person. What do you think about this?
Bless you, sir. This has happened to me countless times before. The moment I take my mind off of my English, I find myself communicating well with ease. "Nobody cares about your english but your message!"
Thank you for the beautiful blessing. It really is appreciated. Also, you might be interested in the full video that this short video came from: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0l0GeD424Xc.htmlsi=j-CsXjCDceLGgH31
Thank you. I hope you will take your time using this video to help with your confidence. Also, please check Episode #2 for more great stories and vocabulary.
In my humble opinion, it helps if the origin of an idiom is known. For example, ‘to know the ropes’ comes from sailing. Someone who didn’t know the different ropes couldn’t become a good sailor and thus couldn’t climb the hierarchy ladder. Having this story in mind, it’s easier to memorize and use the idiom.
I completely agree with your humble opinion and we think the same. In fact, I included the origins for all the idioms in the bull, long video that this short video came from:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T6uv22wae4o.htmlsi=lNz2pGthnZuFFidx I really thank you for sharing your thoughts on here. It is really valuable to others in the community to hear you say these things. You always make great comments and I appreciate it. Keep them coming.
Hi, My book does talk about idioms, but idioms are only a small part of the book. If you follow this link and choose to see a "Sample" of the book, you will see the Table of Contents with a list of each chapter in the book. amzn.to/3WBZ34w
I understand. And this is why this method works so well. What do you do? You learn from your recording and you do it again. And again. And again and again. It is hard. That's why it is a challenge. Speak from your heart, not your head.
Hi Grant, your teaching method reminds me of the song „998 good bricks“. It‘s about a person who made a wall of 1000 bricks but he messed up 2 of them. And every time he sees the wall he only thinks about those two crooked bricks. Whenever people come to visit he tries to not let them see the wall. One day a friend of his sees the wall and tells him it‘s beautiful. And the guy who built it says: ‚don‘t you see the two crooked bricks‘? And his friend says: ‚yes, I see them, but I also see the 998 good bricks‘. People tend to focus on things they don‘t do well, although there are much more things they do perfectly.
Wow!!!!! Thank you so much for introducing me to this amazing song. I will use this song in my coaching and in my future courses. I love it!!! It is the greatest message for helping build confidence. You made my day so great by sharing this!
Thank you for your kind words. I think is is always a great idea to read books out loud in English. It is a very good form of practicing getting the words to come out of your mouth. Especially words that you normally wouldn't say. The idea of speaking about a different topic is really a challenge, because you have to come up with the words and sentences. So it is a great challenge and practice when you need to speak spontaneously.
I stumbled upon the longer version of this video yesterday and I honestly loved the idea of recording myself and I started to. And I was kind to myself 😀, my voice wasn't that bad 😂. It was cool. Thanks for the video.
I have a phrase that I use all the time when I really don't like something at all. You need to say it in a way that you pretend to be serious and kind... "it isn't that I don't care for it... It is that I absolutely hate it!" Haha
sometimes i feel all of those situations as a worship leader i always give a little presentation or word... and since i watch your vidio...i know what to do but above of all pray makes me confident. thank you mr. Grant ❤❤❤❤❤❤
So nice to see you again and thank you very much for your always kind words. This series is really powerful for communication of every kind. But I know that most people might not find it fun to watch, it is really a great message.
