I'm a lifelong Cyclone fan who had a special feeling about this game well before the tragedy that befell the OSU Women's BB team on this night. (I did expect a cancellation of the game, but OSU wanted to play.) Reviewing this now, many years later. I am struck by how small ISU was as a team. At the time, I felt that Barnett should be the starting QB. But now, I see how limited he was. Horne, always a shifty receiver, but his size was indeed a huge issue. While Rhodes tried very hard to recruit, it was not his strong suit. So glad Campbell has built up the Cyclones, slowly but surely.
Let's go mountaineers man want one hell of a game that was. Gino was a great quarterback all we needed was a better defense and we would have been the top five team all day.
Bro honestly f Iowa state, chanting “cyclone power” during the moment of silence for remember the 4 that happened THE NIGHT BEFORE, what a poverty ass program Iowa state is
While the field was being stormed i noticed there was a notification of a flag down then it disappeared several seconds later. I'm curious to what that was all about ?
Got to love the video description calling this “an unconventional conference matchup” when Texas Tech vs KState was literally the first, inaugural, Big 12 game in 1996 lol
My wife and I were at that game. When they announced the Miami-UCLA score, meaning kstate was in the national championship game with a win, the crowd went berserk and that was the highest point i had ever experienced at a sporting event (and i was at the first Snyder win in Manhattan). Then, after the last play of the game, came the lowest point i had ever experienced at a sporting event...to this day. Great game, but not the best outcome for Cats fans. Bishop lived by the sword, and that was what made him great, but it also meant that he would die by the sword. I still have not watched a replay of that game. I did save it to watch later...but we will see. Still too soon.
