i think youre starting to see it, but from the last patch .. they nerfed the option pitch .. if a def player is anywhere in your vicinity .. the pitch isn't consistent quick or secure pitch .. its like now you have to pitch like a half a sec earlier than you would prior to the patch, but that leads to the pitch being easier to identify by the defense .. hence losing the effect of the option game ..
I could be wrong but you typically sub faster dbs for slower lbs...that could be the issue with tackling bc I would imagine your lbs would be better tacklers than your dbs especially vs rbs
That was probably some of it, but the main issues I was noticing were from our blitzer who I keep as a LB and our D-Line especially when we had potential TFL's
And I love the flexbone offense! I follow the academies irl bc I think the option style offense is tough to beat when it is clicking. Both Army & Navy are 4-0 this season. And it's cool you're building it with Northern Illinois!!! Keep up the good stuff!

3:30 YES! Definitely still send the house. So right here at this timestamp, on the red bar, the darker space on the right is how much interest they've gained per week. So if you're in a battle with another school, you can always gauge what school gained the most interest per week from that. I always play nothing but dynasty. I figured out a lot of how the recruiting works. I'm no master by any means, but I can shoot you a bunch of tips and tricks. Some of them might be long comments though lol.

Just a comment on recruiting. You shouldn't have to go after anything below 3star, even as a 1 star program. Put 30 players on your board. There is enough 3s that won't have offers that you can consistently replace all year. Give them a scholarship and they will be fine as you progress.
@OldManTrying with 3s you don't even have to give them more than 10 min a week. Use your time to scout for gems. Then give those the higher weekly time but only if another school offers them.
You should create your own playbook to remove broken plays and to add more triple option plays. I suggest using Navy as a base. You also may want to slow sim with sliders.
Ayyee glad you are having fun with the Gun Split Slot! I think Gun 2 Back formations are some of the best formations in football. Easily run the ball in both directions, can max protect block 7 vs Cover 0 if you need to, and still stretch the defense vertically with the pass game. You definitely gotta experiment with Gun 2 Backs more! This was fun to watch!

I'm pretty sure Utah has the Utah State playbook when you play online. Same thing with Texas having the Texas State playbook. Just something broken in the coding. It's been known since pretty much day 1 yet they still haven't fixed it. Definitely a bummer. Utah's roster has intrigued me all year but their online playbook is so much worse than the one you get in practice/dynasty mode.
Yeah I checked in practice mode after and it's 100% Utah State's playbook, from what I saw it only happens when you're the away team too which just makes no sense
@@OldManTryingJeez. That's even sillier. You lab up a pretty confident scheme in practice mode, and then whether or not you have that scheme or an entirely different playbook is just a 50/50 coin flip on home or away? That's rough.
Iowa. I'd love to see what you do with that defense haha. 9:58 that pitch still gets me all the time. This helps sometimes, if I just hold the pitch button, the QB will pitch it fast and more accurate. However, I've also noticed wild pitches More often in the pistol formations. Specifically the full house, and strong slot.
Got it, I'll add Iowa on the board. Yeah I think holding pitch helps too which is funny because it's supposed to be faster but also supposed to be less accurate haha
The "recommended" list in recruiting is weirdly limited. If you dont view that page and go position by position you should be able to find more players that are interested in NIU
OM, the problem with the sim is that it won't properly simulate the flexbone play style. It won't do the 4th down conversions and eat all the clock that it should double and triple check the settings.
you have too turn the aggresivenes slider in offense to 85. it determines how often your team goes for it on 4 down. When you simulate. Huge part of the flexbone. And of course turn up the run/pass slider. So you'll run the ball more
So with simming the game, you can also do it in game on the play selection. Press down on the left stick ( might be right ) and select Sim to Next Possession. You should be able to see the scoreboard, time, and it sims per possession. Or if you want to guaranteed when lol, you can just go to team schedule in the main menu, highlight the game, hit a, and select force win.
I had so much fun with this I recorded part two already haha but I think what I do for simming in the next one worked well, you’ll have to let me know what you think Sunday
Hey I didn't even notice you got to 1k Yes!! ! Congratulations man 👌 I'm excited for this one from you. I'm sure you'll get a lot of recruiting tips from everyone. The green gem is good. That means they will usually develop faster than anyone else. I always start with O-line myself. Power guys used to be the best for run blocking, and kind of still are, but they nerfed it, and agile will give you the same amount of power, Impact Blocking, and sometimes Run block. Rocky taws, and fullback toss will both be credited to the QB. Sorry try not to bombard you with too many comments.
