I don't understand what you meant by normal pot. Whatever you intend to use must have holes at the bottom and the to should be properly covered not to allow water into the incubator except the water you spray on the incubator to keep it moist. @ucheugochukwu8848 Yes. All you need to do is to boil hot water and pour on it to kill all bacteria. You can now reuse. Each time you want to reuse, just boil hot water to kill all bacteria. Hope you find this helpful ?
It should not be more than 3ft high. You can use either sand or leaves. As for me, I don't use sand in my snail farm. I use only dry leaves. Watch my video on soilless snail farming.
For how long depends on the population of your stock . When you noticed the leaves are becoming more messy, you change it.I do change my own every 3o days. It's not as tedious as using sand. You can use a plastic container with holes at the bottom to drain off excess water. You will also need to have one or two holes on the cover form egg to breathe but not too many holes to avoid dehydration. The incubator must be moist at all time till all the eggs hatchling. Waoooo... this is my question to the part 1 of this video. I wouldn't have asked the question if I had watched this part 2. I now know I must boil the leaves before use. I have everything regarding their feeds in the farm. I can't wait for the next video and please endeavour to show the whole space and ventilation system. Part 1 never showed any guard wire and net. Could you please share the full space of the pens or is it an open range? I have a farm house of 10 rooms decking where I contemplate to use one room for this experiment! Presently I rear snails in two 3ft by 5ft pens and 4 set of tyres. But scooping their poops everyday is so stressful for my age. I'm 63.

But very quickly... would there be need to sterilise the dried leaves with hot water before placing on the soil less pen? Is there any significant rapid growth of the snails in this method?
